Serah Farron Serah woke up a few hours after her unfortunate encounter with the heartless... She wanted to say that she was saved by Ron Stoppable, but its more like she saved herself and got rid of the heartless as he pretty much failed to save her. But he still dragged her back to the closest town since she passed out afterwards... and then he apparently left her there.

And she also had to pay for the inn's room.

Either way, she managed to get SOMEWHERE, even if she's lost and doesn't know much about this world she's stumbled in. Everything is different than on Cocoon. Even in her crystal dream nothing looked like this. But at the moment, she had other things on her mind. Sitting near the fountain plaza, she looks at her hands, pensively.
Soan Sagittarius Soan Sagittarius goes around the world. Normally, the Alexanded Academy students stick together in a party of three, for saftey measures, but he's a Rogue. He know how to slip away on his own, to scout ahead. It's easier, not to mention safer, for him in the end when he's alone to manuver. Plus, he has his other activities to think about -- it's not like long distances has ever been a problem for him.

Thus, currently, on this fine morning, the young Ifriti is in the town of Tycoon, loomed over by the castle proper. He passes by the fountain plaza, holding a small bag over his shoulder, flipping a copper coin up and down when he spots Serah. He tilts his head, looking at her for a moment, before flipping that coin in the water near where she is sitting, looking over at the water. With all the causalness he can muster, he blinks and look over at her, as if it was the first time he saw her.

"Ah! I'm sorry, miss. I didn't mean to disturb you."
Serah Farron Serah Farron doesn't react immediately either, lost in her own thoughts. It takes a moment to register that someone was talking to her. She blinks, and looks around, the wrong direction at first, and then at Soan. "Were you talking to me?" She obviously wasn't listening, even to a simple sentence there. She's still running through her head what happened just a few hours ago.
Soan Sagittarius Causal sentance completly failed. Part of being a Rogue, however, unlike some of his friends that are in other fields, covers manuvering in social situations. It's also called having 'charisma'. Also, making stuff up on your feet to make it look convincing.

"I said, a penny for your thoughts, lady?" Soan replies, smiling over at Serah, pointing at the sinking copper coin in the fountain. "You do look preoccupied and, dare I say, lost."
Serah Farron Serah Farron glances over to the fountain and the coin... She then nods "Yeah... I... have lots on my mind right now I guess." Which isn't too surprising in thsi world really. Most people that get deported in this world are lost and confused to start with. And its even more true for her that woke up from a crystal slumber without any idea what happened on the outside world. And then attacked by heartless, finding new powers, lots of things all within the span of a few days, its alot to take.

"... Have you seen those black monsters that roam around the place?"
Soan Sagittarius Soan's smile turns a little dark, pained as he looks back into the water where the coin is quickly vanishing. After a moment of silence, he replies quietly, evenly. "You must be talking about the Heartless, I'm afraid." He says, carefully, then looking back at the girl, his smile perking a little. "Yes, I have, unfortunately, several times. I take it that you have, too?"
Serah Farron Serah Farron puts her hands on her knees, as she leans forward a bit, nodding "... They caught me on the way here, three monkey-looking ones. They carried me off to a sort of encampment, just a gathering of even more of those creatures together. And then they all jumped on me... it felt like they tried to tear my soul out of my chest..." she puts a hand over her heart at that, still remembering the feeling.
Soan Sagittarius "They were after your heart, from what I heard, that's what they do. Rip, claw at your soul, make more of them, spread the darkness." Soan replies, sitting down a few paces away from her, setting down his bag next to him on the fountain. Despite all the terrible-sounding things he's just said, the young thief remains calm and friendly, informative in his tone, speaking clearly. He's in control of himself. "I don't particularly know how they work, or neither do a lot of people for that matter. But I imagine that's what they were after... and if they took such measures to get you, they've must have seen something."

He pauses, looking over at the bandages Serah have, over her upper left arm, his brow furrowing a little. "Are you hurt?"
Serah Farron Serah Farron looks at the bandange as you point at it. She shakes her head "Ah, no, its uhm, more like a fashion thing..." A bit of a lie there, but she's still not quite comfortable with her l'Cie branding, and she doesn't know how people would think about it either. "I have... a tatoo underneath it, and some people are not really at ease with it..." Its not entirely untrue at least.

"... So those monsters... really tried to get my heart then..." She felt as if she was going to die for sure back then, but she's still here and alive, quite obviously.
Soan Sagittarius Soan tilt his head at her answer about the bandage, then shurgs. If she want to be secretive about it, it's not his buisness right now. "What, because it's offensive? I'm sorry, miss, but you don't seem the type to have a heavy metal tattoo, but I've been wrong before!" The thief heartily laughs briefly, shaking his head, smiling still.

"I can't think of much else." He adds, a little more sober. "They're generally not after money, or anything else. It's good you managed to get away, then.

He pauses. His face brightens a bit as he slaps his forhead. "Oh! Yeah. I'm sorry, where are my manners? I'm Soan Sagittarius, nice to meet you, Ms."
Serah Farron Serah Farron still looks a bit worried, but offers a little smile nonetheless "... I'm Serah Farron. I come from a place called Bodhum." She hasn't found anyone that knows about such a place. "Its in a place called Cocoon." And even less sight of floating landmasses like that either. Its a bit hard to explain to people that didn't see it either way.
Soan Sagittarius Indeed, by the look on Soan's face, he don't recognise the name of the place. He nods, sticking the edge of his fingers into his pockets. "Never heard of it, but neither did a lot of people heard about my home, either, I'm afraid. A lot of places around here are pretty low-tech, too."
Serah Farron Serah Farron hmms as she thinks about that, nodding "I noticed that too... its nothing like it was on Cocoon... What happened here anyway? What am I doing here... What is with this world..." She has so many questions but not many answers, or people to answer it yet. She kicks off a small rock with her shoe, sighing.
Soan Sagittarius Soan smiles. Hey! Someone that 1) didn't get offended and 2) knows what the hell it means! That's a miracle! "It's a lot of mysteries that I'm, myself, still am looking for. However... it could mean several things." He says, carefully, looking upward. "I'm not quite sure why this world is so messed up, either. So many anachronistic civilizations appearing next to each others, like that."
Serah Farron Serah Farron looks at the small rock she kicked as it rolls away "... I woke up in a city that looked like the world I left, but the rest of it doesn't make any sense, like you say. Not just the 'low-tech'... its... just not where it should be." And by that, she means on Cocoon. There's no Gran Pulse either, even though they are on the surface. Everything is different than she expected, and she doesn't know what her Focus is anymore either, although she's getting glimpses here and there...
Soan Sagittarius Soan pulls out his hands, placing them on his knees as he look at the rock rolling away. "I woke up in a town, Corneria, myself. In the outskirts, actually, to be precise." He says, looking back at her. "It looked like your world, but it wasn't?"
Serah Farron Serah Farron nods, looking back to you as she leans forward like that "Yeah, there are lots of cities on Cocoon, the one I woke up looked alot like one of its biggest cities, Eden. But it can't be Eden, because it's not on Cocoon. So either the entire city was moved, or it just looks similar." Either case is possible for her, she doesn't even know how long she slept either. Could be years or centuries for all she knows. "Cocoon was... I guess you could say its like an artificial moon that was made. But instead of being in space, it was on the planet, floating off the surface. fal'Cies, that I guess you could compare to gods to some degree, used their powers to give us food, water, electricity and other things like that, creating an ecosystem inside of it." She puts her hands to together as she explains, trying to mimic the ball and the life inside of it. "So Eden was INSIDE of it. But this isn't Cocoon. Its more like its the surface of the planet, Gran Pulse... but its nothing like we learned in our school books either."
Soan Sagittarius Soan looks rather interested at the description, rubbing the end of his chin between the curve of his thumb and index as he listens. "It's possible the entire city was moved. From what I understand, it seems to be what happened to several people here, several locations." He says, musing. "If that's the cause, it's rather fortunate. I have not seen any city from my home here. Yours do remind me of Chocobo, however -- it was a colony built on our moon. It wasn't a real Plate, even if the Great Span connected to it." He frowns. "Can't be the same thing, thought. Chocobo's colony's kinda young."

He pauses. "So, what's a fal'Cies? An AI that controls and gives basic nessecities? Guardians? If Cocoon was a Moon Colony, that must mean Gran Pulse is the planet proper?" He elaborates, half-asking, half-ruminating on the mystery, working it out.
Serah Farron Serah Farron nods "Yeah, that's exactly it. The story goes that there was a war between Cocoon and Gran Pulse. The fal'Cies are like deities, magical beings with immense powers. They chose to protect us and take us on Cocoon so we can live peacefully there, but people on Gran Pulse didn't like that. Or rather, the fal'Cies... fal'Cies have the power of taking in humans as their servant, giving them power, and a Focus, which is like a task to complete. The fal'Cies of Gran Pulse made an army of l'Cies, their servant, to attack Cocoon. The fal'Cies of Cocoon did the same to strike back. It was called the War of Transgression."

She pauses for a second, just considering what she's relating right now. "Or so the story tells anyway. Supposedly, fal'Cies from Gran Pulse tried to bring destruction to Cocoon by summoning a giant beast known as Ragnarok. So people live in fear of Gran Pulse fal'Cies and l'Cies because of that."
Soan Sagittarius Soan looks grateful at the description, smiling. "I see. We have gods as well, altought... well, several of them became the various continents of our world, as well as the progenitors of many people in their own ways." He begins, reaching into his pockets to fish out a small little ball of metal, smoothed out and chromed. "Our world are a series of interconnected layers of continents, over one another, connected by one, long span of land connecting them. They say that they are the bodies of the First Gods. Shiva, Ifrit, Rahmu, Titan, among other ones."
Serah Farron Serah Farron nods as she listens, flicking the tail of her pink hair that hangs down her left side. Her eyes just look at the ball of metal, as if it ws part of the explanations. "So every part has a different god, and a different continent? What was yours then?" She heard about the names of Shiva and Ifrit before... weren't those Pulse fal'Cies? She can't be sure.
Soan Sagittarius "Me? Oh, my parents were Ifriti, but I grew up elsewhere." Soan says, grinning. "It's not uncommon for people to be of a different ethnicity and living somewhere else. Ramuh's basically a huge city on the entire continent, for example. It... looks like my home is a lot more advanced than most of the ones I've seen around."
Serah Farron Serah Farron nods understandably "Most cities were well advanced on Cocoon. With the fal'Cies giving electricity, we never had any problems with that, and whole cities of light existed too. Bodhum was a bit more quiet though, with a beautiful lake and fireworks at night. We had a house nearby, and I went to college there too."
Soan Sagittarius Soan's smile remains, if tainted with a tad bit of sadness, his eyes with an understanding spark. It's not something that he really knew, mind you, the whole 'simple life' thing. His life's never been simple. He likes it that way, admittedly. "Hmmm, so, if Gods provided for everything... hm. That do sounds somewhat of an issue." He muses, scratching his chin. "Something changed, did it?" He asks, quietly, after a moment.
Serah Farron Serah Farron tilts her head at the question "What do you mean?" Nothing really changed... except that she's not on Cocoon anymore, and not to mention that she was branded by a Pulse fal'Cie, and still is branded for some reason that she still ignores... Lots of things changed. "... Well, things aren't the same now with this world, I don't even know where Bodhum might be, if its anywhere at all. Plus I don't know if my sister is around either." There are too many questions, and she's pretty much left to fend for herself right now.

She hops off the bench to stand up a bit with a stretch, hands in her back. "I hope I won't get attacked by those monsters again."
Soan Sagittarius Soan lets out a brief laugh, an amused 'heh' as he also pushes himself off the bench, straightening his school uniform as he stands back up, a nervous tick he seems to have. "That's a good attitude to have, keep asking questions. Find out what happened... but still be careful, Serah." He says, smiling still as he shoves his two hands in his pockets. "There are not just monsters born of Darkness here. There are also men and women lusting for powers that have allied with them. Be carefull of who you talk to, who you meet, who you trust your secrets."

He pull out a hand, wiggling his finger as a piece of paper appears. "Despite what I said, I'm offering my aid, in case these monsters appears. There's strength in numbers, after all."
Serah Farron Serah Farron knows about phones too, even if she didn't think this world had any yet. She takes the piece of paper, glancing at it "... It still felt good to talk about it at least." She didn't say anything secret after all, it was mostly just things that were facts in her world, but doesn't seem to stand up anymore in this world. Its all very disorienting. "I'll keep that in mind."
Soan Sagittarius "Good. You can find a phone in Traverse Town, if what you have don't seem to reach current networks. A Ma Belle, they call it." Soan replies, pleased that she took his number. "I'll be in town for a while, staying at the inn for tonight. If you do decide that there is strength in numbers, come and find me. I'll lead you to Traverse Town. It seems a hub for displaced people like ourselves."
Serah Farron Serah Farron hms, but nods, pocketing the number away "Alright..." She offers a soft smile "Thanks." She says quiet simply, but meaning it.

At least she was distracted out of her thoughts. But she's still worried about those heartless... maybe she needs to find a weapon of her own.
Soan Sagittarius "Oh!" Soan says, after he turned around to walk away, lifting an index. "One last thing. Are you a magic user?"
Serah Farron Serah Farron blinks at the question. How should she answer that "... I.. suppose I am, yes." Its still odd to think about it as magic, but what she did earlier was magic, no doubt about it there. From what she saw in this world though... it doesn't seem like it's uncommon.
Soan Sagittarius Soan don't seem to blink at that, clicking his index and thumb together. "Good, I was wondering why you didn't seem to have any weapon, and you didn't seem the martial artist type, if you'll forgive my assumptions. Here."

He didn't have a dagger in his hand before, just a few moments ago, it's like he pulled a long dagger out of his sleeves, sheathed, handing the handle over to Serah. "It's not much, but it's on the house, whatever you decide. Even a mage needs a little steel on themselves."
Serah Farron Serah Farron blinks, looking at the dagger "... Ah, well, thank you... I was thinking that I might need a weapon as well, in fact..." She weights the dagger in her hand a bit, and then runs a finger along the flat the blade a bit "... are you sure?" She didn't think she'd be just GIVEN out something like this.
Soan Sagittarius The Thief nods, gesturing with his hand vaguely. "Of course! I couldn't take gold from you for something so simple, anyway." He says, looking at the blade. It's a nice blade, steel, not particularly decorated. It's seem solid and servicable. Plus, it's not a stolen weapon. He wouldn't paw off stolen goods off to a lost person like that. "The least I can do from a refugee to another."
Serah Farron Serah Farron nods, sliding the blade into its sheath, and then bowing "Thank you very much then." She offers another smile, putting the dagger aside for now. No use carrying it where everyone can see it at least.
