Seloria Delacreaux SMASH CUT TO: Costa Del Sol

W-wait, again, Seloria?

Oh, okay, this is why this time. Night has fallen over the port city, the starts glowing, and Seloria, always a strange one, has disappeared from the general muddled confusion that is known as the Costa Del Sol branch of the still-around Alexander Academy folk.

Hunting her leads, well... to the beach, and...

Up on the beach, there is a green sun umbrella and a Alexander Academy bag, along with Seloria's purse. There is also a well-used towel, but... no Seloria. There is also no sight of ANY other Academy student, so it is very likely that she pulled a thing(like she did at the Academy before the World Fell) and uh, well, ditched her buddy.

But where is she? The water is eerily quiet, and it's light enough that she should be noticable, but...
Niklas Dragonius Niklas Dragonius is atually a pretty hard buddy to ditch.

It's not that he's stalking her, per se. He's making very little effort to conceal his presence. Oh, if he wanted to, sure; he could snuff out his presence like most people flipped light switches. But that felt like stalking, and he didn't much care for that kind of thing. It made him feel slimy, wrong. He was up front and open about his promiscuity with everyone for a reason, after all - he made sure everyone knew what to expect, everyone knew how he was going to behave. It made an honest man out of him, if the kind of guy that some girls turned their noses up at.

So no, he's not stalking her. He's giving her space from a good distance away - giving her plenty of space, given his distance. He's just there, on the beach, looking up at the moon, like he just decided to take a walk for himself. Heck, he might've done so. It might be entirely unrelated.

It is, after all, a nice night for a walk.
Seloria Delacreaux Seloria is not deliberately ditching anyone, but the Levitani normally does not get midnight buddies to share the star-filled sky and the seas with. As such, she is not particularly surprised when she finally meanders out of the water, but it being Niklas is a bit of a shocker.

"Hi."

She just looks at him steadily, before flopping face first into her towel. Ker-thump.
Niklas Dragonius Nik holds up his hand. "Sup."

He's still staring up at the moon distantly as she walks out of the water. Again, he's aware of her motions, out of the corner of his eye and the sounds in his ear; the sound of wet fet against sand, the motion of the water falling, he knows them and acknowledges them in the back of his mind. But right now, he's distracted by the moon.

"Nice night."
Seloria Delacreaux Seloria rolls over on her towel, stretching out to watch the moon as well. She looks peaceful for once, and much less likely to suddenly burst into randomosity shenanigans. (although this may just be being slightly sleepy.) That being said, she does eyeball Nik from the corner of her eye.

"It is."
Niklas Dragonius "Izzat why you're out here so late?" Nik asks idly. The sky is really nice tonight; the moon's got his attention. Or maybe it's the stars; even though every so often one snuffs out, it's still beautiful to look at the sky. He's been wondering about the stars going out - if that was related to the worlds, or not. He hadn't really asked anyone. He had other, more important things on his mind.

"Because it's a nice night, I mean."
Seloria Delacreaux "Um, for a part of it, yeah."

Seloria admits. "It's... always quieter, and nicer, at night, and there's... less people. There's more space in the sea for me." She turns her head to regard him more fully. "Plus it's nice, just - floating in the sea. Without hearing anyone screaming or anything... just me and the sea." The is a deep note of loneliness there, one quickly masked over.
Niklas Dragonius "Huh," Nik replies blankly. Okay, yeah, it was generally quieter at night. Although this was supposed to be a resort beach; there were probably still people milling about, but they were also probably people like her who didn't want to deal with other people this late anyway. People who were just out to have time to themselves and enjoy sleeping in the water or whatever it was late-night people did with themselves.

Nik had sort of adapted to late nights by being a party crasher. Parties thrown at night tended to last longer and be crazier, and Nik was the kind of guy who showed up to parties like he had an open invitation (he usually did) and make them either automatically better or three times shorter and twice as explosive. So he'd learned to stay awake a lot longer than most people, making him sort of a natural night person.

Then again, he liked mornings, too. When did he *sleep*? The guy was like a bundle of energy. This is probably the most serene most people would've ever seen him, just staring off into space at absolutely nothing.

"Makes sense," He adds finally.
Seloria Delacreaux Seloria peers at Nik, slightly wondering if she's actually got /Niklas Dragonius/, the infamous Behemoth Class black belt summoner and Class Flirt and Voted Most Likely To Sleep With All Of THe Girls In The Class out here, or if Cid sent out a robot to keep watch on her.

"... yeah."
Niklas Dragonius No way he was going to sleep with *every girl in class*. Some of them were in real relationships, after all, and Nik just...wasn't that guy. He didn't believe in romantic love, or at least he didn't want it for himself, but he wasn't the kind of thoughtless jackass a lot of guys were where he'd just go break somebody up for his own desires. So if NOTHING ELSE, he wasn't that kind of person!

His head tilts down after a bit, and he grins. "Sorry. I like the night sky. It looks pretty similar...I mean, we're not staring at the Core or anything, but....the stars are there. Mostly."
Seloria Delacreaux That was the ninth-year superlative. It was then updated to 'try to flirt with every girl in the glass'. Or so the rumors in the girls' bathroom said. That being said, she tilts her head up. "It's ... pretty weird to see you so calm, but... it's kind of cool." Seloria says with a shrug.

"But I get the point."
Niklas Dragonius Nik shrugs again. "I like the sky. Guess it just kinda puts me in a meditative trance or something. Good to clear my head, slow down a little, just feel everything around me."

"Plus, late nights like this can be pretty musically inspiring, although I can't say I'm feelin' much music from this one. It's nice and relaxing, but it's not doing much in the way of jumpstarting my creative lightning, y'know?"

"It's getting a little warmer soon, though." He stretches and lays himself out in the sand. "Warm sand is great. Laying on it while it warms up is even better, though."
Seloria Delacreaux "I don't care, I'm still free, you can't take the sky from me..." Seloria's soft soprano lilts across the air as she hums some distant lyrics from something or the other that she heard back as a child a very long time ago.

She rolls over onto her back to be able to watch the sky more than him. "This is gonna look so weird if we're not in our rooms by the morning, you know." She says softly.
Niklas Dragonius "It is?" Nik replies absently. He's a little busy half-burying himself against the warming sands to enjoy himself. Ifriti are weird.
Seloria Delacreaux Welp. Too late, Seloria made a decision.

Nik finds a Levitani flopped next to him, wrapped up in warm comfy towels. "It is." She confirms, lazily.
Niklas Dragonius "Why is it weird?" Nik replies. SAND MORE SAND SAND IS AWESOME AND WARM and it is in fact getting warmer. It's not a warm night, but the night is warming up, just as Nik predicted, and the sand warms up with it. He isn't exactly burying himself in the sand like it's a blanket, though, just sort of...pushing down against it as best he can, like it's snow. Really warm snow.
Seloria Delacreaux "Nik and Seloria snuggled on the beach, S L EE P I N G?"

"... okay, maybe we just have weird classmates. But if Professor Mister Green finds us..." Snuggle snuggle. Not like Seloria can get banned from swimming anymore, tohugh, ha ha!
Niklas Dragonius Nik just shrugs again. He doesn't really care.

"If you say so. It's not like we're in school anymore, no matter what he thinks. If he wants to try, he's welcome to try and make me, but I'm sure as heck not submitting homework or sitting in a classroom when I've got this huge world to explore. Really, I'm surprised I've been with you guys this long...I keep thinking about what's over the next horizon, over the next hill, and I just...wanna go find out."
Seloria Delacreaux "Can I come?" Seloria asks this, softly, tucking her chin against her chest. "It's not like anyone notices when I'm here or not anyways, I'm sort of like the disappearing-reappearing girl." Besides, how else is she going to get into trouble if she's not out awandering?
Niklas Dragonius "Sure, if you really want to. I have no idea where I'm going, but I don't really mind. It's not like I'm gonna stop people from going where they want." It's not really in Nik's nature to restrict peoples' freedoms, after all.
