Faruja Senra The trip from Luca to Fluorgis, for Faruja, is one he's taken many a time. Though long, it's nothing compared to the trek from Mullonde to the desert city! But he's not used to passengers, particularly such interesting ones as the Viera he rides with! The company has definitely been an upside, though it seems to leave Arista in a foul mood as they land in a designated area for non-airship flying beasts/devices. After hopping down, Faruja extends up an arm to politely offer his passenger down. Arista snorts before quickly stalking off after both are down, flying away in search fo a meal out in the desert. Several insults to the Viera's parentage are spat back from te draconic being. Hopefully Evja can't understand draconic!

Having divested himself of plate mail so that he doesn't melt in the heat, the rat tests his leg. A small hop sends him up a few feet, landing without the 'oomph' of a healing Dragoon. He smiles. "Ahh, much better. Welcome home, Lady Adjudicator."
Faruja Senra Even a knight couldn't help but enjoy a beautiful lady resting upon him! Or so the rat thinks, anyway. There's a smile on his muzzle, the trip having been rather enjoyable despite its length. That squeak of pain has him frowning. "If that keeps up, do let me have a look at your injuries, hmm?" The Templar Healer's in Evja's general direction. Leading the way, he starts them off towards the city proper, exchanging polite greetings with those he knows. The Shard Seekers are more than well known here by now, after all.

"How long has it been since you have been here, if I may ask? Mayhap we can find old friends and acquaintances of yours, hmm?"
Evja Though Evja was awake at some points during the trip, he actually mostly slept it off. Which meant Faruja got to enjoy(secretly or otherwise) the fact that he mostly rode there leaning against his back with his mouth and nose resting against his shoulder as a pillow. Of course, there was a good reason for that - Evja had gotten what accounted to a healing massage right before the trip came about in an attempt to help with the back pain that came from being slammed into the concrete at the spaceport by a Heartless Meteor, back first.
Even now he was still fairly sleepy, accepting the hand off and stretching, though the attempt, paired with yawning, simply elicited a rather pained squeak out of the Viera.

"Mph... still tender. Are... oh. Wow, Fluorgis Port... it has been a while." He was wearing that large white robe again at this point, ever as he was.
Evja "If you wish to see my bare back, you had better start sweet talking me, little mouse. Though you are cute, so a polite request might just enough."
Once more leaning down to press a kiss atop his head, slowly(stiff back), Evja tugs his robe around him a bit more and follows when finally led off. If anything, though, he seemed... wary. Each passing Viera he looked away from, making it a habit not to look any in the face. Despite having his face covered from the bridge of his nose down and the large floppy cap on, something about him seemed... insecure, really. "I would rather not. I have no friends outside Judges anymore within this land, though they are yet friends. The reason why I would save for another time. It has been... maybe six months since I last was to Jylland, seven out of Fluorgis."
Faruja Senra Red comes to white-furred cheeks, the rat rubbing his head where he was kissed. One ear tilts back goofily, a few chuckles and wolf-whistles issuing from acquaintances along the streets. "I...I shall keep that in mind! Err, that is...not to say..." Fluster! Faruja's tail flicks, and he seizes upon her answer quickly. Subject change, go!

Evja's odd reaction to other Viera is well noted. Could she be something of a pariah amongst her kind? Thankfully her disguise is excellent, and none seem to view her as anything other than a fellow female Viera.

"Of course, I shan't pry. 'Tis a shame, though. One should not go without companions in dark times such as these." His tail slowly swishes as they walk.

Faruja is leading them towards the marketplace, the route eventually leading to the Shard Seekers headquarters. "However, I think you shall make friends with that unique charm of yours. Ahh, do feel free to bunk with us. Ser Seatlan and Ser Galvan shan't mind, I do not believe. They have a habit of taking in strays. And hardly should I wish you to stay out on the streets, munnyless!"

A short nod at the time. When they reach the market, he begins to pick up a few things; potions, and other healing items mostly.
Evja Thankfully things do not change too much in this land, even after the shadows have come and gone. And come and gone some more. The Judge's attention wandered here and there while staring distantly at things to stare at. Buildings, chocobos, animals in the distance. Then... "...aha, how could I have been so daft."
Stepping back a moment, Evja fishes in her robe for something then pulls out what looks like a whistle, bring it to her mouth and... nothing. No sound is made. Suddenly every Chocobo in the area looks up as if they heard something, then ruffle a bit before going back to what they were doing. Nothing... nothing...

"WARK!"

After a moment a large yellow bird comes trotting up to Evja. "So... you are still well. I am glad."
Faruja Senra A bag in his arm, Faruja watches as Evja yanks out a whistle. "Hmm?" He squeaks out curiously. Then she blows upon it. No sounds. Faruja tilts his head in confusion until he notices the chocobos. A wark signals the arrival of one old friend of the bunny's!

Faruja chuckles, turning to the big bird. "My, my, my. Whom is this fine feathered fellow?" A hand will be gently held out, should the chocobo desire to sniff.
Evja "You know..." Evja mutters as she reaches up to stroke the birds cheek, pulling his head down to rub her cheek against his own in greeting, "I never actually gave him a name. It is uncommon amongst Judges to name their mounts as if they were pets. A business relation. Perhaps I should call him Senra, though?"
Her tone was teasing at worst, before suddenly, "How came you upon that whistle?"
A stern-sounding reverberating echo came from nearby as the heavy footsteps of a Judge approached. "None but a Judge may have that call." Evja stared at the man a moment before turning, exposing her back to him, upon the back of the snow white outfit a glyph showed briefly, the symbol of a Judge. "Then I am fit to have such."
"..." Silence on the part of the accusing Judge, perhaps confused, or uncertain what to say. Or perhaps simply thinking as the Viera turns back towards him, one hand on the reins of her Chocobo.
Faruja Senra That little tidbit is filed away for later, Faruja grinning as Evja nuzzles against her chocobo. Really, those big birds can be such sweethearts! The suggestion of a name has him blushing, and reaching out with his tail to poke her on the nose!

"I should hardly wish to insult such a stalwart, sweet avian as this with such a poor name. My voice can hardly warble so pleasantly!"

Faruja finds himself turning about, standing beside and forward from Evja in a mildly protective stance. From the frown that comes to his muzzle, he doesn't quite like how the viera's being treated by her fellow Judge.

"...There is some problem, Ser Judge? The Lady Adjudicator has been a true credit to her calling so far as I have observed." The rat's head tilts to the symbol upon Evja's back. Between the whistle and the cloak, there's plenty of evidence. Faruja keeps his tone flat, barely resisting the urge to slam down his spear's end on the ground. No need to rile up the local lawkeepers.
Evja The Judge turns his head just a bit to stare at Faruja silently before Evja reaches a hand up from beside him to pat his cheek, "Shush, it is fine. Thank you for the concern, but he is only doing his job, as would I were in his situation."
That gets a nod from the Judge who states simply, "The Judge to whom that Chocobo belonged was reported lost to the shadows. I am the Judge in charge of handling their care. To see it appear before a Judge, though... and it recognizes you as his master."
Evja nods at this. "Would you be willing to inform the Judgemaster of Fluorgis of this for me? I yet need to take care of something, though I shall be along shortly."

From the shadows in the recesses of the Marketplace, a Bangaa stands and stares out at the group, licking his lips as if waiting for something. "No." comes the reply, however, from the handler of Chocobo's. "You know as well as I you need to inform them of this yourself, and explain what has happened." "Yes, I am aware, but you must also realize I am injured. I could only make it to Jylland with this one sitting behind him on his dragon, my back is too badly hurt, even with the healing I have had, to withstand the bouncing of a Chocobo. Please... let them know for me, and I shall be along as I can." Reaching out, Evja summons that big sword of his before offering it hilt first towards the other Judge, "This as my proof."
There was a few moments of silence before he reaches out to take the sword and says, "Be safe. I have heard rumors that there is a reward for a Judge who has in the past wronged a clan. It may be just a rumor, but I would hate to see you fall here when the shadows did not consume you." And he turned, walking back a few steps before shimmering back to the corrals via the magic of this place.

"My apologies, Faruja, that you had to see that. The laws and customs of this land are not one to be trifled with."

And somewhere, that Bangaa slipped back into the shadows and vanished.
Faruja Senra Faruja returns the stare, before nodding as his cheek is patted. The Templar relaxes somewhat. He's still not used to Judges. "...My apologies, then, Ser." A half bow to the Judge. He's a polite rat, after all.

The Templar listens quietly, stepping aside to allow the pair to tend to their business. Given such large ears, its impossible to not eavesdrop. The customs between Judges are interesting, and he observes with undisguised interest. All of this allows the stealthy bangaa to hide in the shadows without him noticing. Just as the bangaa slips away, Faruja turns. "Mmm. Must have been my imagination."

Faruja can't disguise his concern. "Quite alright. M'Lady...are you in danger?" he asks bluntly, regarding the mention of the reward. He doesn't ask why. It's not his place just yet.
Evja "Likely not me, no. Any who would have issue with me are within jail." The mention of that gets a sad look to the Viera, though. "It is like a clan who holds issue with their Judge, who broke the laws and forced them to turn aside which cost their friend dearly. I do not know of course, it is only my speculation. Some will always hold the Judge accountable even when it was their own lawlessness that forced the Adjudicator to leave and cease protecting them."
With a shake of the head she pats the Chocobo again and whispers something before it sinks, slowly crawling onto his back and hugging around his neck. "Slow, no running no matter what." And, as commanded, the Chocobo does such, standing slowly as she slowly pushes herself to a stand. "Once I accompany you to where you were wishing to take me, I need to take care of this issue with the Judges, and I shall return shortly thereafter all good. Alright, Faruja?"
Faruja Senra Faruja's look, oddly enough, may be somewhat understanding. "...'Tis a tragedy that in order to enact laws, earthly or heavenly, some are caught in the middle." He doesn't mention anything about 'lawlessness', though the slight eyebrow raise might show just how unused to such orderly conduct in battle the rat is. Back home, wars are survival and death, not orderly and clean.

Faruja leads the way, the pair making their way to the Shard Seeker's headquarters. Smiling, he nods to the relatively unassuming building. "And here we are, my home-away-from-home. 'Tis hardly glorious, but rather homely. And the people are...well, interesting. Our own private spring-baths and everything." He chuckles. Ahh, hopefully Evja shall get to meet the others soon!
Faruja Senra -SOME TIME LATER-

"Welcome to our glorious hovel, M'Lady Adjudicator." Comes Faruja's voice as he opens the door for the Viera. Stepping into the lobby, he looks around, nodding. It's rather clean, thanks to the Princess' work. Perfect for guests.

The ratling indicates several doors in succession. "To our gardens and baths...the male and female halls down that way...kitchen there. We have quite the cook." Pause. He frowns, thinking on the dragoness.

"Though let us merely say 'Lady' Priel is not exactly the shining example of our little organization." Grumble grumble. His tail flicks rapidly.
Priel Aylin As if on some sort of cosmic cue, said 'Lady' Priel came casually sauntering out of the female hall, decked out in nothing but a night gown. Likely having just woken up. She probably thought she had the place to herself.

"Ehhhhh..." She yawned, bringing a clawed hand to cover her mouth somewhat. Her tail flicked about randomlt as she walked. It was only in passing that her eyes passed over Evja and Faruja, making her way to the kitchen. "Morning mouse, rabbit...come to be eaten? ...I could use you in a stew~" She spoke in a lethargic, but mocking tone.

Apparently the notion that guests were about meant nothing to her.

Oh well.
Evja Evja himself was back to wearing what he was before, that large fluffy white cloak which covered him from the neck down then the thick veil from the bridge of his nose down and the large 'Assassins cap' that was atop his head, floppy ears poking through. Of course, most would assume all Viera female, and this outfit left no indication otherwise.
Faruja's words simply got little nods out of Evja until Priel walked out, smiling a bit at how lax everything seemed here. "I would assume you are the one spoken of just now, a cook? It has been a bit since I have eaten something solid - could I bother you for something, please?" The eating and rabbit comment went unresponded to, mostly because who would honestly try to eat a Viera. That, and he was used to rabbit jokes. Oh please have some stew, and carrots in it at that. All rabbit jokes aside...
He actually liked carrots.
Faruja Senra Cue nosebleed. With a grumble of irritation, he wipes away the blood with a handkerchief. Females!

"Good /morn/ M'Lady Aylin." Faruja levels a glare. Yup, Miss Bunny, that's Priel.

A shake of the head, and the rat sighs. "I pray you fare well. And I highly doubt cooking our dear guest would be polite."

Sitting down, the Burmecian rests a moment, rubbing his head. Long journies take a lot out of him.
Faruja Senra "Please do, Lady Priel. If necessary I shall pay you. Lady Evja here hardly deserves to starve." A tail pulls out a chair for the bunny should she wish to sit.
Priel Aylin "What's this? I just woke up and the first thing I get hit with is a request for food from a total stranger?" Despite saying that, she looked totally dismissive about the entire thing. It was all likely just a joke to her.

"Well whatever~" A shrug was given then and the redhead moved onwards, continuing into the kitchen area. "I was going to cook anyway, so just...I don't know. Sit around and do what you people normally do. Mhmhm~"

And with a parting wave from her tail, she begun setting about the task of whipping up something to eat. "Is there anything you want, Miss Rabbit~? Carrot Stew maybe? Ehehehe~" And that question was topped off with a giggle from the dragoness.
Evja "Oh please, it has been too long since I had a bowl of stewed carrots. Do you have any supply from the Rupee Mts?" Evja did move to sit when the chair was pulled out for him, reaching to pat Faruja on the hand gently in thanks. When the Viera did finally sit, however, a grumbling sound of pain came and he slumped against the table a bit, a most undignified position. A hand shuffling into his cloak reveals a bottle of shining blue liquid, which he uncorks and drinks slowly. Briefly he emitted a little bit of an aura before it vanished again. A type of specialized potion perhaps?
"I do much hope these will work. It is supposed to heal my back over a period of several days, if I drink them once a day, so there is no lingering stiffness from a sudden healing."
Faruja Senra Really, for all of her teasing and generally being an annoyance, the dragon is being quite kind. Faruja sighs. "Your work and kindness is appreciated, M'Lady." He offers to the dragoness as she makes for the kitchen.

A nod and a smile to the Viera, the rat raising a brow at the undignified slump and pain. "I surely hope so! We hardly can have you in anything less than top condition. Between the tournament and the troubles here in Fluorgis, your blade is needed now more than ever. Besides, back pain is deplorable in the best of times."

The rat feigns a cough. He's totally not snickering at Evja wanting carrot stew.
Priel Aylin ....But that was a joke. She actually wanted carrots? That threw Priel off guard for a second. "Ah...right then." A nod and then a pot is prepared with water, carrots and various other ingredients. "The merchant from the marketplace said these carrots came some some mountain. I couldn't be bothered to remember the name though~"

Another shrug and then the redhead is off to work, cooking for their guest...and Faruja and herself. Carrot stew wasn't usually her first choice, but hey, it'd do for now.

In the meantime, she listened to them talk, hearing something about a tournament. Aha, she DID recall there being some sort of tournament...Of course, she didn't attend because it simply didn't sound profitable at the end of the day.

Typical.
Faruja Senra

Frown. Faruja's Ma Belle sounds off, the rat taking it out. Reading over the little display, he nods to Evja, and more vaguely, to Priel in the kitchen. "A moment, please, Ladies." Stepping out into the garden, he remains for a few minutes. Walking back in, he's scowling.

"Damnit, damnit, damnit! Lord-blasted fools! Whom leaves a case of holy artifacts unlocked at night? My sincerest apologies, it seems duty calls. Lady Priel, if you would leave some stew on the stove for my return I would be in your debt! Lady Adjudicator, an honor as always. Lord bless." A bow to the pair, and he's off! He does pause however, to look at the bunny now slumbering. Sigh. Reaching over, he pats Evja on the head.

"Ahh...and take care of our dear guest, please, Priel!" Lord help the bunny, asleep at Priel's mercy.
