| Reize Seatlan | It's a nice day in Fluorgis. The Shard Seekers are slowly taking off, making a name for themselves. But now, it is time to get a look at the Headquarters. Reize had been awing at the structure of the place. Few cracks and other sorts of mess seem to have some placement in the structure. The home is a huge charming mess, but... all what it needs is a little loving care and some more cleaning between the group. He walks around, gazing at the table set and workbenches. "Wow..." The young man looks all over the plaza. "This is amazing!" He brightens, then he springs a hand into the air. "We got our own Headquarters!" |
| Faruja Senra | Despite the heat, the high-rising cliffs of Fluorgis are a sight for sore eyes after Faruja's first jaunt out with one of the Shard Seekers. Which isn't to say a return to Mist-covered areas and finally being able to see his homeland's allied city in its full glory wasn't enough to warm the Templar's heart. Nevermind how well the mission itself went! Still, being that close to Alexandria certainly dampened the mood, and he's happy to return to the Shard Seeker's base of operations where he's not likely to do anything foolish. Besides, he needs the rest. The front door of the building gets a knock, followed by the nezumi Templar entering. Spying Reize, he can't help but smile. Ahh, such optimism. "Quite more than expected. A start, at least. Love and care is necessary. I believe the term 'a fixer-upper' is correct in this situation? Lord bless, Ser Seatlan." He'll bow once the boy turns to him, tail swaying. "Pray forgive the intrusion. Have you a moment? 'Twould greatly please me to speak with you." |
| Reize Seatlan | Blink. Reize lifts his head up to let his eyes wander along the structure of their plaza. He is so taken in by the atmosphere of it all. He is rather cheerful of the atmosphere, overall impressed with the base. This will be their base of operations! Reize is excited. Twisting his attention to see the speaker, Reize grins, "Oooiii, Faruja!" Both hands brought to his side, the youth grins, "Lord bless to you as well, Faruja!" He places his hand over to his chin, "This place will definitely need some fixing up, but we will have this a proper base in no time!" When he looks over to the nezumi, he blinks, "Oh! Sure! And don't worry about intruding, you're as welcomed here as anyone else!" ...Well, except Priel. |
| Faruja Senra | Peer. Atmosphere, sure! But ugh, that crack in the wall. Faruja shoves aside the urge to grab a tube of plaster and get to work, instead walking to stand a pace or two away from Reize. "Your hospitality is most telling. Indeed we shall." The nezumi places a hint of emphasis on 'we', smiling a touch. That letter he'd received not a day ago still burns in an inside pocket of his robes. Somehow, he doubts it'll come to that. "Tell me, how fares recruiting? Does your house yet retain beds unwarmed?" Faruja starts, refusing to just come out and say it for the moment. He might make a good politician one day. |
| Reize Seatlan | It will take some time. With Faruja coming closer to speak with the boy, Reize places a hand over the back of his head. The young man listens to Faruja carefully. "So far, we've gotten a couple of members." He considers, "Not too many have wanted to associate with us. They find that our goals are unrealistic and that our heads are in the clouds." The young boy shakes his head, lifting his shoulders with a helpless shrug. "But, that doesn't matter. We will prove them wrong and put their faith in us that we can do good things for this world." His grin widens, "And have fun exploring while we are at it." Then, Reize blinks to Faruja, "You know, Faruja." He smiles, "You are welcome to join us, if you'd like." His eyes fall shut, "You've been a great help to us thus far." The eyes slowly re-open, "...And there is no way we'd refuse if you wish to join us." |
| Faruja Senra | Grabbing a seat from nearby, the ratling sits down, crossing his legs. A hand rubs his chin thoughtfully. "Faith indeed, Ser Seatlan. A quality all too many lack these days. Should we be unable to stand together, united against the encroaching darkness, we are doomed." His head tilts to once side, tail snaking about one leg of the chair. "Though a healthy dose of skepticism is not to be faulted. As you say. Such great ambitions as yours must be proven possible. Admittedly, even now, I have my...reservations regarding this device Ser Galvan believes can detect pieces of worlds." Vaguely waving a clawed hand in the air, he dismisses the thought, his own smile mirroring Reize's. "Exploration, hmm? Well worth the effort, in any case. A cartographer worth his or her salt would be a boon. With the world split asunder and made anew, such things will be a valuable asset. Regardless..." Ahh, how to broach the subject? Faruja chuckles at the offer, barely restraining a beaming grin. "Would you now? My my, Ser Seatlan, am I that transparent? 'Twould be an honor to join you." Standing once again, he offers a hand to the young would-be Knight. "Several...ahh, friends of mine within my Order and the Church are most interested in the possibilities your group raises. I intend to judge whether such is possible, and whether your group...whether /we/ can accomplish the recovery of those lands lost to darkness. So far, I believe the chance exists, judging from the ordeal here in Fluorgis and my own operation with Lady Misaki." Reaching within his robes, he pulls out a coinpurse. "On that point, here. Profits from said undertaking. And you shall be pleased to note the wyverns shall recover. Lady Misaki's assistance was invaluable. A touch talented with the great creatures, if I am to judge, as well." |
| Reize Seatlan | "I suppose so." The young man approaches the cracked windowpane, leaning against it as he stares out towards the city of Fluorgis proper. A bemusement runs over his face, listening to Faruja. Turning to face his friend, Reize offers his optimistic view to the nezumi, "Then we will just have to prove it to them." He grins, "Knight's Vow #45: Impossible just means no one has achieved it yet, so strive to achieve." Regarding Ivo's device, Reize gives his companion a wide grin, "I don't know. Maybe not. But that's the excitement. It could lead us to something. I don't know where. You don't know where. He likely doesn't know where. But... things tend to work out for the best in the end." He considers, "I am an adventurer first. I seek to learn more of the places that... I've been denied when I was younger." His smile wans, almost rueful. Yet, he brightens while Faruja asks of his transparency. "..I am glad." The hand is extended towards Faruja, shaking the hand. With the interests of the church falling towards their group, Reize nods. "...Well, we will see." He reaches his hand over towards his neck, where his pendant would be. That instinctual grasp finds nothing. ...A frown stirs at the feeling of a loss. Fist tightens slightly, but he lowers the hand. When the coinpurse is presented out, Reize looks at the change, "oh! Thanks!" Then, he listens to the tale about the adventure Shiki and Faruja had. A smile stirs once more. Shiki is doing a lot for the group. He is glad that she is finding a sense of belonging. "I am glad to hear that, Faruja. Thank you, we're a step closer to becoming a recognized organization." He muses, "I'll be taking up one of the missions myself, soon." |
| Lenn | Lenn wanders into the HQ... She stops in her tracks on seeing Reize, a bit of pink creeping into her cheeks, for a moment. She takes a deep breath, before approaching the young adventurer. She holds out a small clinking bag. "U-umm... here. Half... today's profits." She's trying not to meet Reize's eyes... Why's she so nervous? |
| Lily | "A HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO~ME!~" Comes a muffled singsong young voice from within the HQ. In particular, from the back, where there happens to be a sizable little garden full of flowers and vegetables and berry bushes. Well, planted with them. Only a few flowers have sprouted and blossomed so far. It's just gotten started! This is followed by the pitter-patter of light footsteps and rather without warning Lily springs into the room and hops atop a chair to GRIN at everyone in the room, as if this building is the best thing in the world. "A word that I'm really liking. It's... our place!" |
| Faruja Senra | That particular vow earns a laugh from the Burmecian, and a nod. "My my, who ever taught you these vows of yours, Ser Seatlan? I find myself quite liking that one." A fuzzy brow rises in cuiousity. After a shake, the rat is all smiles, looking quite pleased with the outcome overall. "Excellent. It seems none shall lack for excitement, then. Time enough to make up for what you have lost. The flower of your youth has hardly blossomed yet, Ser Seatlan. And with such fine companions, the Shard Seekers may yet go far." Speaking of! Lenn gets a low bow from the Templar. "Good evening, M'Lady." He pauses, noting the blush and nervousness. "Are you quite alright? Perhaps I should have a look at you. 'Twould be most disastrous for you to be stricken ill with fever." The rat comments, with the slightest hint of a knowing smile. Lily's infectious cheerfulness, and pure joy has Faruja stifling a chuckle. Oh yes, he'll never be bored around this bunch. A glance back to the garden, and his tail sways gently. "A most...ahh, homely estate for such fine people, M'Lady Lily. And grander yet shall it become, should we pour love and brow's seat into it's working! The seeds of the Shard Seeker's fruition are planted. The day of it's ripening shall be glorious." |
| Reize Seatlan | "Oh! My dad taught me the vows. All of them, I know by heart." Of course, his father didn't expect the boy to take them serious. Oh well, as long as the boy lived up to his words. When Lenn comes into the headquarters, Reize's eyes turn her way briefly to regard her with a beaming wave. Though, it still dawns on him about earlier. That pang. For some reason, he finds his cheeks redden. "Uhhh..." A sweatdrop is given for a moment, "Hey Lenn..." When the elf presents her share for the profits, Reize manages to keep a bright smile, "Th--thanks, Lenn." His eyes drift away, trying not to look her way. ...He can't believe he DID that. Granted, it was an accident. But... Then, he hears the muffled singsong voice of Lily. When Lily springs on top of a chair with a cheerful look, Reize cannot help but marvel on how energetic she is. And how she managed to not trip. "I am glad that you are enjoying yourself, Lily. It's peaceful for us, isn't it?" |
| Lenn | Lenn curtsies to Faruja, then shakes her head, blushing deeper. "N... no... I... I'm just fine... it's... something else... nothing important." She looks to Lily. "There's more work to do to truly make it ours, but we're building something special here, for certain. |
| Shiki Misaki | Shehiki has noticed Nagetta is shy, a bit. Clearly the answer is to drag her outside to meet everyone. Shiki offers her hand. "C'mon!" And so they enter, dynamic gangnam style, into ... here! |
| Lily | "MmmHM!" Lily indeed did not trip this time. Though she's standing on a chair instead of sitting on it for whatever reason while leaning forward, hands on her kneess and still grinning widely. "H-hello, Far.. Faruja! ... Lenn... Shiki? And...?" She peers at the completely unfamiliar face of Nagetta... Someone new? Huh. But then she tilts her head over at Faruja, pondering over those words. "... p-people don't bloom, do they? Or is that why some people have flowers in their hair?" |
| Faruja Senra | Looking briefly to the pair of Reize and Lenn, Faruja rubs his unburnt temple. My my, what ever will he do? "So long as you are certain, M'Lady." Suddenly, snakes and seamstresses! The Templar pulls his gaze from the awkward pair in the room to the shy naga and distinctly un-shy Shiki. Bowing to both ladies, he smiles. "Lady Nagetta, Lady Misaki, blessed 'eve." A tilt of the head, and the rat's mental math ties things up, even as he suppresses a shiver. To Lily, he shakes his head, walking over to pat her head gently. "No, no...well, not in the same manner, Lady Lily. 'Tis a metaphor. A comparison. Much like a flower buds, then blooms when given proper care, so too will this building show it's true potentially should we all pur forth our best efforts in maintaining and fixing it. People are the same way. They wither, or bloom, depending on what care is given them." |
| Reize Seatlan | Reize sweatdrops, his eyes slowly turning away from Lenn. Errr... Hoo boy. Reize rubs the back of his head, that nervousness settling in. Why is he feeling this way?! Shiki arrives in the headquarters along with a naga. Wait. "Oh!" The boy brightens, "I remember you! You were around the other day." He grins, "I'm Reize Seatlan! It's a pleasure to meet you! It seems that Shiki has made friends with you already." The boy looks at the gathered party. "Wow, all of us are coming together." He muses, "I think Ivo is still busy tinkering with the Shard Seeker device he mentioned about." He muses, "And Skoll is busy taking care of some missions of his own." |
| Lenn | Lenn curtsies to Shiki and Nagetta, grateful for the distraction. "Hello, there. I am Lenn Silv." The blush is still on her face, however. "A pleasure to meet you... Nagetta, was it?" She smiles. |
| Shiki Misaki | "Woo, device!" Shiki echoes enthusiastically. "I guess that explains where Mr. Mew's been the last couple of days." ELSEWHERE Mr. Mew rummages through a toolbox. Seriously, what's the difference between a pair of tweezers and a pair of callipers under the circumstances, Ivo? "Anyway, yeah! This is Nagetta. I found her sleeping and she was worried people might not want to meet her, but I'm sure everyone would be fine with it, so here we are!" Plus it's a great way to overcome her fear of serpentine things that want to eat her. |
| Faruja Senra | Faruja offers his best disarming smile to the Lady Snake, before turning away. The group gets a bow. "Excuse me, Ladies, Ser. I should see to finding a bunk. Lady Nagetta, welcome." And don't eat anyone! With that, he's off! |
| Lily | "Oh... OH! That's like what Ivo was saying!" As if a lightbulb just lit up, Lily blinks.. and her smile widens. But she soon shuffles over towards Nagetta, not one bit afraid of the snake lady - or even remotely aware that Faruja would have any possible reason to worry about her. She does, however, reach out to gently poke at the snake-like hide with a finger out of curiosity. "Ummmmm.... hmmmm....?!" Puzzled at this. "Hello! Nagetta! I'm Lily." |
| Reize Seatlan | "The Shard Seeker is a device that Ivo is working on. It's supposed to help us find the missing world shards." Pause. Then, something hits Reize, "...Not sure how we will find it, but...." he shrugs, "Who knows? Ivo's a smart guy!" He brightens considerably. Then, he looks at the snake lady, "Yeah, we're friends." His eyes drift towards Faruja as he leaves. The boy starts to scratch his head, trying to figure out why did Faruja seem frantic. Then, his countryboy mathematical intuition hits him: . o O ( Faruja = rat *insert image of a little rat* ) . o O ( Nagetta = snake *insert image of a snake* ) . o O ( *insert image of a snake opening its mouth with rat going !!!!* ) . o O ( *insert image of snake going ^o^ while the middle of stomach has a mouse shaped mold* ) "...Oooooohhhhh...." The boy nods to himself in understanding. |
| Lenn | Lenn shakes her head. "I am not, either." She smiles. "There's a lot I *am* afraid of, I'm only an artist. But I help how I can. Oh, Reize," She turns to the adventurer. "I was thinking of putting up another mission out at the boards, for more jewels, unless you..." She trails off, looking away, remembering why she wasn't doing that to begin with. "Want to do it..." |
| Shiki Misaki | Shiki pops up from the bottom left of Reize's dream sequence, with her arms folded and this really stern expression on her face. It disappears, returning us to the here and now. "Um... actually, that's a good question. Ivo never really explained it to us, did he? I guess... well..." "A lot of us have lost our homes to the Heartless. But they can't be completely gone, right? If we survived, then surely some parts of them survived too. If we can find them... maybe we can rebuild... maybe we'll find the secret to fighting the Heartless." "I'm getting pretty good at this adventure thing," she says to Lenn. "If you want, we could go see if we could find something." |
| Lily | "Um... I heard these Shards are the bits of the worlds. I don't know if there's one for where I'm from though... I wouldn't know what it looks like." Lily states simply while still gently poking at the unusual feel of snakeskin - and clearly not realizing people don't necessarily like being prodded out of curiosity. "Ummm... hmmm." |
| Reize Seatlan | As Shiki stares at Reize with a stern look, the boy sweatdrops and takes a step back. With his attention shifting, he shakes his head at Nagetta, giving her a nod, "Oh, no. You seem like a nice person." Then he looks over towards snakegirl, "I see no reason as to why you shouldn't be treated nicely." And then... Lenn asks him of the missions for more jewels. Reize coughs, then he tilts his head over to the side, "Well, I could... Uhh.. Though, Shiki can too!" Then, he looks at Shiki and her explanation, "...Yeah. Shiki has gotten well trained up." Blink, "Hrm?" He looks at Lily and Nagetta, a faint smile is given, "Yeah, many people's worlds were attacked. ...Mine probably was, but... I didn't get to see it. ...It felt like I was somewhere else at the time." |
| Lily | "Your skin is really different, Nagetta!" Lily points out in a voice full of merry innocence, before gently pressing her whole hand against the scaley hide. She keeps it that way just a bit before pulling her hands back and tapping fingers against her cheek. "It feels nice." Giggling happily to herself though, she walks away from her and goes over to stand next to Reize instead, repeating the unfamiliar word. "Trained?" |
| Shiki Misaki | "Oh, me and Lily... well, I had an idea. I was going to make us all some pins... special pins to show we were all part of the Shard Seekers. I was going to design them, then Lenn could help make them... is that it? I don't know who knows yet." Shiki looks a bit embarrassed. "Faruja told me I was a good adventurer. I don't know if I'll quit my day job, but... it won't hurt to get better at it." |
| Lenn | Lenn nods, "I could do that, easily, really. It's just a matter of getting the materials, and finding out about anything extra we want to put into it. |
| Shiki Misaki | "You know," Shiki says, pointing to the ones on her hat. "Pins. Like the ones I use to do my psychs... only these ones wouldn't be quite the same, on account of I don't know how those work." |
| Reize Seatlan | Nagetta's question earns a smile from Reize, who extends an index finger while he explains, "Well, Lenn is able to use magic from gems. It's really nice!" He brightens with a grin on his face, "Any jewel, she enchants, and she can manifest her magic through them! It's extraordinary!" While he looks at Shiki, Reize scratches his head, "You know..." He brightens, "That is a good idea, Shiki. Shard Seeker pins would be great." He looks at the group, "I approve!" As the two are getting along, Reize smiles, "This is great." |
| Lenn | Lenn smiles, and accepts the high-five. "I suppose it's just a matter of figuring out what we want them to do." SHe then looks to Nagetta. "I'm also a jeweler, making rings, pendants and things for people to wear. It's one way I bring in money, since... I'm not really much help for adventuring." |
| Lily | "Oh, that's a pin!" Lily's eyes brighten, but unlike with Lenn she doesn't go to try and feel the pin. "... it's kind of shiny... what are they for?" |
| Reize Seatlan | Reize turns over towards the group, then he considers everything, "Any case, I am going to get some things together." He looks at Lenn and Shiki, "You two can work up the design of our pin." His attention drifts towards Lily, "You can tend to the home. I am going to get some plaster and some other stuff." He looks around the headquarters, "This place could definitely use some touch up...." A smile brightens, "But this is our home now." |
| Lenn | Lenn nods. "In any case, I should go see about getting a box to lock up my things in, so they're safe. Jewels can be valuable, after all." She gets up, to start heading out. |
| Shiki Misaki | "Pins are for fighting," Shiki says. "For defeating Noise, and fighting Reapers... and Heartless... and monsters too, I guess." "But now," she says, looking at Reize. /Right/ at Reize. "They're for protecting. To protect this..." "My new home..." "And my new friends." |
