No description.
Portobello Portobello had been sitting at a table within a cantina of sorts while going over some of his notes and journals he's written over his time, this seemed like a really laid back place and had the distinct advantage of not having any certain factions and groups watching over it. This meant he might have a better time picking up any stray information here about the Darkness and if there was anyone who might know how to fight back against it.

Throughout the day it had remained somewhat quiet in this establishment though as it grew later in the evening there were more patrons entering the place. He had tucked away some of his notes for now and was quietly sipping some local drink as his attentive ears swivels and tuned into what was being said at the other tables and bar.
Elysiana Glyphanos The sound of a chair, "May I sit?" she asks softly. Her fingers gripping the end of the chair as she worked through the crowd towards the chair. The crush and press of the evening crowd, the ungle of munny and comradery. "Ahh.. you're quiet an interesting, person..." she mumurs smilling to the moogle, with curiousity.
Portobello Portobello could hear footsteps comming closer though he had not payed much attention to them while his eyes were focused on his journal and his ears trying to pick up bits of random conversation. They only perked up towards Elysiana's direction once she spoke up as he turned his neck up towards her.

While petite for a human, she still stood a little over twice his height. He slowly closed his book and gestured towards a nearby seat, "Please do." he said in a quiet tone of voice as she regarded him as 'Interesting'. It was a term that was not uncommon when people would describe him, in fact in many lands in the World of Ruin his kind was thought of as a myth or fairy tail.
Elysiana Glyphanos Elysiana Glyphanos settled down and she smiled softly. She breathed softly. "You're... quiet unusual, but not so unlike a few things in my world.. well." she leans foreward, eye the pomp-pom on his head and then drumming the table. "Its a pleasure to meet you, I am Elysiana Glyphanos.."
Portobello Portobello had taken her curious interest in him with a patient stride for the time being, simply smiling warmly in return to her as she spoke of his unsual appearance, "Yes, I am a Ivalice Moogle. Normally we would not exist outside of our homeworld, even though other, less humanoid looking variants of our species could be seen in other realms, kupo. Though with the way the darkness has reshaped everything you'd probably see a few adventureous types traveling around." He does not notice at the moment that she's looking at the pom-pom atop his head, which bobs ever so slightly whenever he speaks, "A pleasure to meet you as well, miss. My name is Portobello Kupoliov."
Elysiana Glyphanos Elysiana Glyphanos smiles "Portobello, like a ship's harbor.." she smiles. "I like that, It's quite an honor to meet an Ivalice moogle. " she begins. "It is true the darkness has take nad tisted what was left of many worlds, and reshaped others. Or worse yet... take them completely." she adjusted a wrist bracelet. "So have you managed to find much work, Portobello?"
Portobello Portobello nods, "Something like that, yes. And yes, some worlds had completely dissapeared, swallowed by the darkness. Though personally I believe they are not gone forever, though unfortunately in my searches I have not found any evidence to support this theory." He sighs a bit, looking thoughtful for a moment before perking up again, "As for work, I manage to find it here and there whenever machinery needs repair work or similar jobs. I'm an Engineer, kupo. I'm self employed so I travel about and look for work where I can. I'm skilled enough that I am not hurting for money." He says in a more cheerful tone, "So tell me, what sort of profession do you have?"
Elysiana Glyphanos Elysiana Glyphanos laughs. "I don't have one, at least not one I can use, here. I was Princess, and priestess in the Queendom of Caelavia." she explaisn she taps the staff which has sat next to her idle , resting agaisnt the her body. " Healer, noble-lady... I can speak, read and write.. I suppose if I had professsion it'd be as a healer, and magic user."
Portobello Portobello ohs and nods slowly, "I see...." He has a more serious expression upon his face, "You may not be aware, but there are other disposed royalty out there as well. Their Kingdoms fractured into tiny remnants or entirely consumed by the darkness. Kupo, it's very unfortunate and at least as a healer you would have some means of generating income. There is no shortage of demand for one who can heal injuries in a world so dangerous as this one." He states in a consoling voice.
Elysiana Glyphanos Elysiana Glyphanos smiles. "I know. but its hard, I mean. I-- my magic requires to give of myself.. And its draining. Mother- my mother's power.. it was tied to the land. Her prayers and focus, kept our land safe until I think the darkness orchestrated.. deaths of my siblings. She was shattered.. and it took her and our land.. our world. Slowly..." she pauses. "Sorry. I shouldn't bring it up, but that's part of why I try not to offer my healer services. The drain it places... could kill. I would have no problem doing it- do not get me wrong.. but... it scares me.. that darkness.."
Portobello Portobello sighs and nods, "I understand, that is terribly fortunate. A lot have lost their homes and families, and their whole lives. I know it's painful but we can't let the darkness break us, this is what it has been planning. We cannot let it feed upon our despair. Though our lands, family and all our experiences live on inside us, kupo. It's up to us to keep on living for them. I'm sure you can find a way to survive in this world even if you have to travel a new path to discover other talents you may have."
Elysiana Glyphanos Elysiana Glyphanos laughs. She doesn't laugh hard, but its a single short sound. "No I understand, comepletely, and you are right." she says standing slowly. "They do, an I know. My mother taught me what I know, well sort of. She was training my sister more than me, but indirectly.." She shrugs. "Thank you, Portobello." she whispers. "Hopefully your egineering career can take off... and maybe I'll hav an airship of my own.."
Portobello Portobello smiles and nods, feeling relieved he was able to keep her from letting any despair gnaw at the edges of her resolve, "You are welcome, even if we're unable to turn a coin there is always things we can do to improve ourselves and improve the world around us." She gives a slight chuckle, "I've traveled much and learned a lot about different machinery and technology outside the kind that was developed in my own world. This in turn has allowed me to become a more skilled Engineer, maybe someday I'll do something so elaborate as design and build an airship. Though for now I feel I need to get a more comprehensive knowledge of this world I live in if I'm going to succeed in it."
Elysiana Glyphanos Elysiana Glyphanos touches the staff, and a soft glow surrounds her, briefly, and then its gone. She stands slowly. "I should get going, my friend and I have... business to attend to. Perhaps we'll see each other?" she paused. "I think I might like to see what your knowledge may come up with? Perhaps build a small, few people airship- not expensive but highly customizable?"
Portobello Portobello nods slowly while hearing her speak of having to attend to matters elsewhere, "There is a good possibility. I do travel to many places and our paths would certainly cross again at one point or another." He still kept a warm expression to him, his benign appearance adding to it, "And I would be happy to demonstrate them sometime. The time may soon come where I will have to develop a means of travel, perhaps to aid others in need. Farwell Elysiana, may fortune soon come your way and your heart find solace." He says before waving to her.
