Angantyr Vespar Hours went by as Angantyr was dropped off to get supplies for the very dry ship...and also make sure they'd get passage to their next destination. It has been way longer, than expected.

Night rolls around, before a dark portal appears on the deck of the ship, and out from it is thrown a large crate, and a few bags...not much, but enough to get them to the next port city. Then...

Angantyr walked through. He was sprouting a few major injuries. Nothing PARTICULARY life threatening, but he was bleeding and still walking.

"Hey you. Take this to where it needs to." he says to one of the crew members, as he starts walking back to get below deck... he doesn't sound like he's in a pleasent mood, or wanting to explain why he's late. He doesn't also mind the fact that he was initally surrounded by men with weapons drawn. That was to be expected.
Avira For a long while, Avira had been restless. Pacing. Would Heartless be able to get on the ship? Would they be attacked by heartless kraken? Avira knows they exist-she has a nasty scar from one on her back that will never fully fade. It'd been a while ago since she faced one so maybe the next time she'd do better. Angantyr had said she'd gotten stronger after all.

Speaking of Angantyr...

His arrival creates a brief commotion from the crew of the ships. She can't really blame them since he did pop out of a corridor of darkness. Those were always enough to put anybody on edge, right? She sighs as she looks over, but a frown quickly covers her. "Angantyr!"

She runs over to him, "What happened this time?! You always come back so beat up-this is even worse than before!" Avira stops herself suddenly, realizing just how fussy she must sound right now, and suddenly looks kind of embarassed. Still, she can't help but add, "Maybe I should get supplies next time."
Angantyr Vespar "Tch." Angantyr, which is enough to know that he's annoyed...maybe even pissed off. Luckily, she knows she's not the sources or else SHE'D KNOW. He keeps walking, he didn't tell her to bugger off so it obviously means to follow. Or take it however she will. Walking inside, he sets himself down in one of the cabins. Slowly the armor starts coming off, so he can look at his own wounds.

Angantyr is just as bulky as he might look. It's not fat, he's extremely well toned...and one has to be working the life he has. He moves to get a potion, and drink it, but also tend to the wounds with more traditional treatments.

"We both know that I am the best at getting them. I'm much faster in traveling while the ship is still moving, if you went to get them then we'd be sitting around..and we both know that's not a good idea." he says.

"Besides. This was my own fault. I kept an idiot and his friend from getting their brains eaten by Leida. Unfortinately every shadowlord was out there." He pauses...

"Then Seith decided he was going to trick the idiots into thinking I was with them."
Avira Avira's pretty well versed in Angantyr behavior to know all these little queues of him. He knows when to tell people to go away. He knows how to show he wants alone time. Still frowning, she follows after him, right into the little cabin that he's claimed as his own. It's not even unusual to her that he's shelling his armor off right now. Because it isn't! Must check the wounds, right?

"Yeah, but maybe if I went, then we wouldn't have to worry about the supply runner getting into fights." Avira fires back, arms crossed over her chest. Her words perhaps carry a little more weight, then, when Angantyr admits that the fights were his fault this time.

The name, though, gives Avira pause. Her eyes widen in recognition, "Leida? That...girl, then. She didn't get to /you/ too, did she? I've heard things. Seith was that guy that interferred the other day too..." Avira looks thoughtful, then moves to Angantyr to help him out. She did know the Ivalician version of first aid (basically the regen spell) AND the real deal after all.

"Gosh, you get to have all the fun." she says dryly.
Angantyr Vespar Angantyr sits back, he's not too prideful to let someone else tend to his wounds...besides he was tired and hurting.

"I guess this needs a bit of explaining....and it is my fault because I was dumb to help them out...but I guess I'll have to remember that other people often group me in with the heartless goons." he mutters, trying not to sound disgusted. "A boy, who was called Reize, and his little girlfriend or whatever...and I guess knows you. We're in the same general area I was walking through. Leida was apparently also there, and Seith was as well, though I didn't see them both initially. Seith summoned heartless, around Leida, the idiot brigade went to save her."

You can tell he's rather annoyed, "I guess I'm getting too soft, because I warned them. We killed the heartless, and dispite my warnings they ignored me...and then Seith decided to come on down, and tell them that they were my heartless and congratulate me on my growing powers of darkness...and that...and this is the best part 'might be ready to become his apprentance.'" he chuckles...it was funny because...well, you know why. Right?

"So they turned on me. Chick froze me in some timestopping spell...then Leida woke up. The Reize kid got eaten by the darkness, dunno what happened to him, but I managed to put Leida down fairly painlessly."

"Then a shadowlord named Ember came up to 'defend her'. Spouted some very laughable things...also found out they helped Kaydin kidnap you. LEXUS jumped in when I was about to smash her." He says...actually not sounding put off by that, "So LEXUS and I chated, and we left on good terms. He says he'll take care of...the issues with the other Shadow Lords."
Avira "Tch." That's the sound Avira makes when she really doesn't believe someone. 'Dumb to help them out' indeed. "Oh, I do know Reize. I also know he needs all the help he can get. Which girlfriend was with him?" she sounds so casual about this too. Like it's not a weird thing that this barely teenaged boy has a harem of girls following him around. Man, Ivo must be really /angry/ about that one.

She lets him continue, explaining the trap sprung on Reize. Also not surprising. Avira can easily see, at least from this perspective, just how successful a set-up would be against Reize. Especially if there was a woman involved. "Oh yes, I know why alright. /Your/ Heartless? Can you really summon those things?" Judging by her tone, Avira must think that Seith was trying to play a joke on them. That Angantyr can't /actually/ summon Heartless.

She pauses in her first aid ministrations when Ember is identified as the other person that fought Valencia away when Kaydin came for her. "...so that's who that was. Another Shadow Lord, then." Avira seems slightly disturbed, not because there was a mysterious shadow lord that had it out for her, but the whole...chatting casually with LEXUS thing. "I'm curious to see what exactly is going to happen. I don't see them ceasing in their harassment of people like Reize."

'Or even me.' she thinks quietly. 'Hmph, well they can /bring it/.'
Angantyr Vespar Angantyr does not flinch when the wound from the flaming sword is touched. Though there is just a slightest intake of breath from it. The wound is looking like it will heal though, with a minor scar. The armor saved his bacon on that one, and that was lucky.

She asks the question, and he looks at her...and thinks about it. "To be honest...no. No I can not...Master Garland has not taught me that...and I do not know if I want to learn." he pauses...he knows though. An army of heartless at his control...the Arcadians wouldn't stand a chance. He was sure he could easily start a struggle with them...

The thought passes, dismissed...no he wasn't going to do that. He couldn't control EVERY heartless...and those that he wasn't controling...

He wasn't about to damn innocent people for the sins of their oppressers. "In theory, the heartless respond to whom the strongest are...but as I lack the initial ability, I do not think they'd listen to me anyway. And I'm fine with that." he comments after a while.

He pauses... "You realize, that if not for Leida's nature coming up right now, they would have killed me." he says, not really knowing the two, but Val really seemed intent on burning him once she even had hints of his power. "It was only because Leida is as subtle as a fireball that I am still alive. Even then...I was bound for longer than I'd want. I am lucky she hardly can remember anything..." or that Garland has her chained.
Avira That flaming sword wound looked especially bad. Avira is extra careful when she applies dressing to that wound, cleaning it and bandaging it up very thoroughly. Her fingers brush over the skin around it, that faint blue glow following in their wake as she encourages the damage to heal.

"That's kind of a relief." Avira confesses, looking up at him, "That would practically make you a Shadow Lord if you could." At the same time too she is realizing that this means Angantyr cannot achieve his army of terror idea through massive amounts of Heartless. They would easily turn on him if he couldn't control them. What would his victory be then, if he didn't live to see it?

She frowns again, "Reize? Killed you? I don't know, I know Reize, I don't think he's got it in him to kill someone. He's green, like I am, perhaps even greener because he's just a kid." Avira pulls away and looks at him, a little afraid. "But you didn't die so that's perfectly okay."
Angantyr Vespar Angantyr gruns a little at that. There is more than she thinks between him and a shadowlord...there is also more than a thin barriers that could easily break and push him. It's hard to say...

Except that she faced that inner darkness.

"That doesn't make him any less capable of it." he says, "And I don't know about him, I mean the woman with him. She had me dead to rights, I was too focused with smashing Seith and not listening to the poison he was putting into them.." He says, "But then again...look at me. I'm not exactly an easy fellow to trust to those who shine in the light so brightly, eh?" he says, a bit self depreciating, but at the same time it was not untrue. He swung darkness around like a weapon...and it was to him.

"It can't be helped I guess. People are going to see me like they think I am. So for now, I'll treat my wounds and think about how I approach problems for now on."
Avira At the grunting, Avira pauses, "Well I mean like...powers-wise. You don't really have the intent. You're too..." she smirks a little, turning his earlier words against him in a friendly, teasing manner, "..soft."

But still, she looks troubled, and unconvinced that Reize could do the deed if he had to. His girlfriends, maybe. Especially that Lily character, she could kill someone, though Avira suspects it would be largely accidental. "Yeah, only the the fools who shine so brightly in the light would do /that/." Again, turning his earlier words from that very day she found herself facing his inner darkness against him. Of course, she refers to the likes of her herself and Jasmine on that note.

Avira almost freezes, though, at his next words before calmly and evenly nodding. Inwardly, she's absolutely overjoyed. Yes! Think! "That's a good approach." Avira encourages, moving away from his wounds. "I know I'll rest easy if I see you coming back in a better condition than this on our next supply run." she smiles, back to her teasing, "Or else /I'm/ going to make the run!"
Angantyr Vespar "Well, don't get used to it." Angantyr mutters, "You know how much money we're NOT getting from this? Hint, it's quite alot...so when we get free...assuming we do, we're going to be taking jobs and marks like crazy. And I mean the bad ones." he mutters. Shaking his head...which means he might need to take a Shadow Lord Contract or Two...

"Assuming we don't get robbed blind or die." he says again.

"Tch...I'll just open the portal for you to run through. Okay?" he says, with a grin. He knows she won't do it. Noooope.
Avira "Well yeah, I figured that Jasmine wasn't exactly in the position to pay us anything." Avira shrugs a little. She hasn't been the one buying the supplies, actually, so she doesn't really know how expensive this mission has become. "Good thing I have leads." she nonetheless looks a bit intimidated. In her mind, the 'bad ones' weren't Shadowlord missions (which Angantyr would likely be doing himself), they were the S-rank missions she wasn't strong enough to do.

"Gosh, you're so optimistic, Angantyr!" Avira laughs, prodding him with a finger.

The finger goes away and Avira lifts both hands up in front of her. "No, not like that! Not at all! You know I don't like those portals."
Angantyr Vespar "Someone has to be." Angantyr says as that finger prods. You can grind meat on that.

"I was kidding, I won't make you run through it unless it's an emergancy." he says, with an amused grin. He'd only tease her about it a little, but he knows her feelings about it.

Oddly, Jasmine DID have some money...more than he thought she would...but still. The money he was getting for the few he was using to get them places. Man, this was going to be...rough. Very rough for a while. Oh well, he can deal with that. It was just a challenge, "So I guess things have been quiet so far?"
Avira Avira's pretty aware of how ridiculously buff Angantyr is. She's trained with him quite a bit after all.

"Yeah well...uh...I knew that." She folds her arms over her chest again and tries to look cool about it. Doesn't really work. Yeah, she doubts he's going to buy that and relaxes. "It has been. I think we're moving too quickly for Heartless to figure out where we are. I'm glad though, I think we both needed a break."
Angantyr Vespar Angantyr pats her on the shoulder a few times. "Good. It probably won't last forever. I am going to rest up, and you should to." he says. "Of course, you are always welcome to rest here." he says, with a laugh. And proceeds to lay down, he's pretty much beat.

"Thanks for taking care of my wounds though."
Avira "I know, right? Best enjoy it while I can." Avira does realize that she probably should rest up at one point. Before the inevitable battle against a Heartless mob comes. Then Angantyr says that she's welcome to rest /here/ and...

Those words run through her head several times. "Wait, did you just ask me to-" He laughs and Avira joins in with her own laughter.

"You're welcome. Enjoy your nap, okay?" She pretty hastily leaves the cabin after that.
