No description.
Deidra Things had been getting interesting for the small band that Deidra was a part of, as they contiuned to map the ways between worlds? They just kept finding more and more strange things. People land, threats like the Kingom of Baron sometimes she just really needed to get home and clear her head such as tonight. She'd made her way up to the Eyrie building to deliver the latest mapping data to the TDA's main finaical backer one David Xanatos and she'd just been enjoying taking a flight off one of the tallest buildings in the city. She'd dropped far lower to the street enough she could keep out of sight mostly of the people on the ground but keep a good eye on things as she looked for a spot to land somewhere she'd not be noticed so much, or at least she hoped so.
Auron Today has been a day that has sorely tested the Legendary Guardian's patience. Not that, y'know, he had much of that in store in the first place. He just appeared to. But nonetheless, he looks noticeably upset, his brows drawn into a frown. The long and short of it? Manhattan police are aggravating. Of /course/ he doesn't have a permit for his sword. He doesn't /exist/ in this world.

Actually he doesn't really exist at all, but that's neither here nor there.

So after several hours of questioning, and him growing increasingly grumpy -- what the heck is a 'last' name, anyway? -- they finally let him /and/ his sword go, with the warning not to go flashing it around.

As he'd left the police station, he looked at a clock. And realized something. He'd completely missed Synestria. Which /really/ made him want to swear. And also meant this suit he's wearing is completely wasted. It's that coal-black suit with a burgundy shirt that he'd worn the last time he was here. Still wearing those boots, though. And those shades. Even at night.

How he's hiding that zweihander-katana underneath a trench coat is anybody's guess, but he's managed to do so. Even if it hides the weapon from sight, it certainly doesn't hide it from frisking, though. Oh, and yes, he does have his arm out of one of the trench coat's sleeves, keeping it cradled against his midriff under the coat instead.
Tifa Lockhart Tifa Lockhart walks along the street as well, quite the contrast as she's clunking around with her usual brown boots, but wearing a formal dress, a red cocktrail dress in fact. She just came out of a business meeting with a millionaire, so she dressed up just in case. But now she's moving along, papers in hand, trying to find a place in particular it would seem.

She's used to having odd looking people around, with the state of the worlds everything is kinda odd anyway, so she doesn't pay too much attention to one-eyed samurai-looking people, or gargoyles. Its just business as usual as far as she's concerned.
Brooklyn All these new worlds, and Brooklyn is really still mostly concerned with this one. He has to be, after all. Goliath is gone, so is Elisa and Bronx, and right now, he has to be in charge of the clan. He doesn't want to do it, not really. The red gargoyle finds himself perched atop a roof, crouched low as he looks down across the street, eyes scanning for trouble.

It would just so happen that the building he is perched atop is at the address that Miss Lockhart is looking for. Funny, that.
Deidra Deidra is keeping to the air and happens to spot the bar owner of the 7th. She's come to like the woman and her food's pretty darn good. It's one of the places out side of tranverse town that will serve her so she's happy to be a regular patron there. Stil she's now just happening to come in towards the roof of the building that tif's looking for. She now blinks once there's someone else up there and that don't look like a human to her. It's too late to change her path she's going to come int of a landing. Auron might be noticed but she's only met him once, so she's a whee bit distracted. She'd be easy to spot from the roof for Brooklyn as well.
Auron There are things flying around, of course Auron is going to notice. His head tilts up, his gaze straying up to the skies, and pauses in his walking. Does that flying figure look familiar? A bit. Looks like the figure's about to land. So he heads for the landing place, out of curiosity. Might that be the same winged creature he'd met that one day in the church...?
Brooklyn With something else flying down towards him, Brooklyn immediately goes onto the defensive. He jumps back off of his perch and sets himself into a defensive stance, waiting for the incoming flyer to land so he can get a perfectly clear view of them, whoever they are. Looks to small to be one of Xanatos' robots...Maybe a new mutate, he thinks..
Tifa Lockhart Tifa Lockhart looks up at the new building, hmmming a bit. She doesn't notice the gargoyle on top, but she wouldn't be surprised either way. Instead she looks at the door, and slides the key out of the envelope she was holding. She steps into the dark building, all on her own, turning on the lights as she slips in.

Of course the building is pretty much empty right now, its undergoing renovations for its future use. The building is practically hers right now, although its bought by Xanatos Enterprises, as the signs outside point at.
Deidra Deidra had heard from Zia another lone Gargyole there had been some strange clan in the city, but she'd always avoided them. Deidra had been hestant to look for them herself, and well her work had kept her rather busy. She now is certain s she comes in for a landing on the roof. She's certain now it's is another Gargyole. She comes in for a landing without much trouble and says nothing as she tries to size Brooklyn up She looks honestly suprised at Brooklyn behing there, it's still a big city she never expected to run into another after Zia really.

"Okay this is unexpected."

She's clearly not a mutate, she's clearly a Gargyole at least from the look of her.
Auron Auron isn't on the roof. But he comes to stand in front of the door of the building -- Tifa may notice him there -- looking up at the winged figure on the roof. Correction, /two/ winged figures on the roof. Looks like there's at least two of those, er... 'Gargoyles' in this world. But then... from what he'd heard in his time here, this is the world they're native to, so that doesn't surprise him too much.
Brooklyn Needless to say, Brooklyn is speechless. He's always thought that they would never come across another Gargoyle, that they were the last of their kind anywhere in the world. This revelation is, without a doubt, the second most shocking thing to happen to him in his short (by Gargoyle standards) life.

He peers at her for a few long moments, and then steps forward, "Are you...Real? Or am I imagining this?" He asks, not sure what to say to another gargoyle who isn't a member of his clan.
Tifa Lockhart Tifa Lockhart does notice when someone is just standing in front of the door... and looking up. She moves over to the door "Something's going on?" She wonders, not seeing what's on the roof from her position either. Its not usual, a closed building, someone just standing in front, and doing nothing. She's not even open.
Deidra Deidra is petty shocked still, not as shocked as when she ran into Zia, but still very muchly shocked at this. "I'm pretty sure I am real. At least I the last time I checked." She tilts her head a little bit and ya Brooklyn seems to be real she's not seeing things either. She's not sure how to take it her last encounter with another gargyole had been rather intense and not the most warm of events. She's got no idea how this is going to go down so she's clearly seeming a bit cautious. She's not aware of Auron and Tifa right now at the very least. She's kinda got a distraction here for the moment.
Auron Auron doesn't look at Tifa as she speaks at first, and he remains quiet for a moment. It might seem like he hasn't even heard her. But then a moment later, he speaks, under his breath, in a quiet, slightly gruff voice that's barely heard over the city's noise. "The roof. There are... I believe they're called 'Gargoyles' up there."

A pause, and he tilts his head down, to regard Tifa finally. He meets her eyes with that one-eyed gaze of his, expression unreadable. "...If they're like the one I met, they may mean no harm." But they're up there, still. It's something unusual. At least, for him. So of course he's going to pay attention.
Tifa Lockhart Tifa Lockhart lifts her shoulder a bit "I met some gargoyles before, they don't seem to want any harm, and if they haven't attacked anyone yet, I think its safe to say they won't. They could have jumped on you a hundred times already after all." She moves back inside of the building, leaving the door a bit opened.
Brooklyn "Where did you come from?" Brooklyn asks, as he tries to wrack his brain and figure out where on earth this other gargoyle came from, "I am...My name's Brooklyn." He says, as he moves a bit closer to her, "How have you survived?" He asks, unsure how another Gargoyle has made it so far.
Deidra Okay this is less cold than the encounters with Zia had been, so things might not be that bad. "I'm Deidra, as for umm surived? Generally kept out of the way of the majority of the human population." She admits hinting she's found at least one human she might trust somewhat.
Auron It's true, Auron knows this. Tifa's words seem to confirm it, and he nods. Okay, now that he's reasonably certain the Gargoyles On the Roof mean no harm, he turns his attention to the building again. There's a pause. And then he makes to enter the opened door of the building. Perhaps there's a way up to the roof from inside?
Tifa Lockhart Tifa Lockhart hasn't checked that yet, so she couldn't confirm it. She just blinks and turns around when the man enters "What can I help you with?" She lifts an eyebrow. She's a bit careful that's all. She's alone after all, even if she can defend herself.
Brooklyn "Are you part of a clan?" Brooklyn has so many questions, he's just rattling them off as they pop into his head at this point, "I didn't think that I would ever see any others." He states, "I thought my clan was the only ones left...This is great news!" He does seem genuinely excited by the prospect of the there being another clan. And here in Manhattan of all places!
Deidra Deidra says "No clan." She shakes her head realising just how excited Brooklyn is. "I didn't think I'd see many others. I only encounted another in recent memory but she's on her own and seems to like it that way. Also how do you feel about any assoiations with humans?" Odd question but with her being a loner she might have ended up in an odd situation.
Auron The man doesn't seem to be looking for a fight. If Tifa is assessing him for possible threat, though, she'll find that he's probably reasonably well-trained, from the way he carries himself. He's not tensed to pounce on or attack her. In fact his shoulders are set in a way that she might recognize as... tired. Her question draws his attention up. But he doesn't look at her as he speaks the next. "...Do you have roof access inside?" he inquires.
Tifa Lockhart Tifa Lockhart uhms "Well I don't know yet, its the first time I come here. But I would assume so, probably from the second floor." She tilts her head a little at that "You want to go see the gargoyles?" She waves a hand, leading up the stairs. She might as well check on things as well, since she'll have to visit anyway "I was pretty much offered this building, so I wanted to see what it looks like."
Brooklyn "We've had some dealings with a few of them." Brooklyn says, crouching down again, "Goliath is still wary of them, and I don't blame him." Brooklyn briefly considers the betrayl...Betrayals, that his clan has suffered at the hands of humans. His mind drifts off for a moment before he turns back to her, "But this is great. Now that we know there's other survivors around, it means..Well I'm not sure what it means, but it's gotta be good!"
Deidra Deidra looks to Brooklyn for a moment "I had dealings with some I had better luck on other worlds. I admittly am still wary but staying alone would have driven me insane eventually. "There's hope now that if there's more than you thought around that means there could be others elsewhere in the world if ... we can get it back." She frowns "How aware of what's been happening are you? Has your clan run into ... creatures of shadow?"
Auron Auron nods as Tifa notes it's her first time here. Roof access on the second floor, hm? He nods, and heads up the stairs, presumably following Tifa. He's quiet on the way up there, too. Not one of the most talkative people in the world. Tifa may also note that he's tensed again, though for defense, not for attack.

Once the upstairs has been reached, Auron will look around the area, mentally getting a feel for the layout. Also trying to get a good idea of the most likely place for roof access, if there is one from the inside.
Tifa Lockhart Tifa Lockhart hmms, and looks around as well. She opens a door at the end of the hallway "Ah, its here. Its locked away in this room, apparently. Its like a closet of some sort." She steps inside the small room, showing the ladder that reaches into a latch in the ceiling "That should be the roof up there anyway, unless its an attic."
Brooklyn "No. We have not." Replies Brooklyn as he frowns, "I have heard about them. Hudson watches the television a lot and we have seen reports, but we have not engaged any. I hope that Goliath has had the same luck we have." He muses, more to himself than to Deidra, "But it's my duty to protect this city against anything that threatens it, be it a creature of sorcery or technology."
Deidra Deidra says, "They are creatures hummm the best way to put it they are things from outside the world born of the darkness. They are known with heartless and consume entire worlds. Our world was one such Mahattan somehow surived it and has become linked other worlds or fragments of ones that were devoured. I faell in with a pair of PIs that had been looking into the creatures and have ended up combating them. I know, I'm doing my part too it's my home at the very least right?"
Auron And again Auron follows Tifa to the small room with the ladder. He looks up as she indicates the ladder. And then without a word, he'll start climbing. Whether she's going up first or he is, he's going up, it seems. If he's first in line, he'll undo the latch that the ladder leads to, and open the hatch/door/whatever is latched on the ceiling. What does he find when he pokes his head up?
Brooklyn "We shall have to stay extra vigilant." Brooklyn says, frowning slightly. As much as his beak can frown, anyway. He really does hope Goliath and Elisa are alright, wherever they are. He's been doing his best to hold down the fort, so to speak, "Well, if you anre your PIs get information...Well, now you know that there are other gargoyles to share the information with."
Deidra Deidra says "I'll keep you up todate, I'll not ask you to reveal where you sleep but hold on." She pulls a card out of her jacket pocket, which she hands to Brooklyn. It got the TDA's contact information. "Always good to have more help also keep an eye on Central Park. It's where the gate way off world is. Most of the travelers have been people seeking their worlds, lost friends or just exploring we had some trouble with some but tranist it is becomming used far more often. I run into some interesting beings in my travels."
Auron Seems Auron has found the roof. It's notable that, when he climbs up the rest of the way, it can be seen that he still has his left arm tucked next to his chest in his trench coat. He'd climbed up with the arm still tucked, it seems like. He doesn't speak, but his moving around, climbing up to the roof, are probably loud enough for those upon the roof to hear. Perhaps especially a Gargoyle or two....
Brooklyn The s ound of something moving around behind them, climbing up onto the roof, is enough to send Brooklyn into defensive mode. His eyes light up, glowing as he turns and puts himself between Deidra and the door into the building, "Something's coming. We need to get to cover, quickly." He tells her, quickly scanning around the rooftop for something they can use to get out of sight.
Deidra Deidra pauses at the sound as well "Right." She knows it's time to try and hide, hopefully they can figure out what it is without being seen in turn. She's got no idea it's Auron.
Auron In a building this large, it's a safe bet there's an air conditioning unit, or central air and heating unit, up on the roof. Space is at a premium in Manhattan, and with no space to expand outward, building /upwards/ seems to be the trend. There wouldn't have been the space to put such a device on the ground. So that's probably what the two of them will be hiding behind.

Auron's not exactly the fastest fellow in the world. And climbing up with one hand is probably not helping his speed. So the two of them are able to get to a place on the roof where they can hide, without being seen. Flying right now is probably a bad idea if their aim is not to be seen. Never know what kind of weapons a New Yorker might have. Guns are bad, kids!

Regardless, once Auron arrives on the roof, he pauses, looking around. He turns his head to the right slightly, just enough to get the roof fully in his range of vision. He doesn't look that threatening, in a business suit and trench coat. The tucked arm might look weird, and the boots might garner some attention, but other than that, he looks like a normal human.

When he finds nothing up there -- at least nothing he can see, his 'someone's watching me' sense is going absolutely nuts -- he pauses a moment, to close the roof access hatch with his foot. That way no one can escape that way. Because if there's someone up here that feels the need to hide, they may have bad intentions. And he doesn't want to deliver Tifa right into the arms of those bad intentions....
Brooklyn There is thankfully a large central AC up on top of the roof, used to cool/heat the whole building depending on the weather. Brooklyn ends up grabbing Deidra by the wrist and hauling her behind it just in time for Auron to step out of the hatch. Crouching down low, Brooklyn peers out from behind the cooling unit, exposing just enough of himself as he has to in order to spy on Auron, "Looks like a human." He says in a hushed tone to the other gargoyle.

He knows their best bet would be to make a break for it when the human turns his back, but they're on a rather small building and wouldn't be able to get very much air from here, "Don't suppose you know him.." He says, mostly joking.
Deidra Deidra takes a good look at Auron from her hiding place, while quietly replying to Brooklyn. The jokes on her fellow Gargyole, she has met the guy before. "Yes I have run into this man before. Asked questions rather than attack. I wonder if he spotted me while I was landing here."
Auron If Auron hears the hushed conversation between the two of them, he says nothing. He is wise enough to note possible places anyone up here may be hiding at. There aren't a lot of places to hide on a roof. A pause, and he tilts his head up just a moment, looking up, to check the sky. Nope. He doesn't see any retreating winged figures. So they must still be here.

Ordinarily he wouldn't say anything. But from the looks of things, this is going to be a stalemate unless he does. For whatever reason the winged figures feel the need to hide from him. That in itself is a sign that whoever -- or whatever -- they are, they probably won't hurt him unless he invites it.

That in mind, he tilts his head up again, this time not so far as last time, just far enough that his voice will carry across the roof and over the din of the city below. "...I mean no harm," he says. Auron pauses then, and he remembers what he was told about the strange woman who called herself 'Deidra'. There are a race of her kind, she seemed to be indicating. "...I've met one of your race. I intended no harm to her. I intend none to you, either."
Brooklyn "If you think we can trust him, I will take your word for it." Brooklyn is being very trusting of Deidra, but she's also the first gargoyle from outside of his clan that he has encountered which hasn't tried to murder him within ten seconds of their first meeting, so he's feeling generous.

He steps out from behind the AC unit, holding his claws up so that Auron can see he is unarmed. Not that a gargoyle is ever truely unarmed, "You'll have to forgive me. We're normally cautious about being seen by humans." He says, although his mind briefly flashes to all of the incidents where they've been seen by humans. Well, he did say normally. Besides, most of those ended with cries of 'Monsters! Get them!' like they were the ghost in the library at the start of Ghostbusters.
Deidra Deidra steps out as well and looks Auron over again suprised "Didn't think you'd travel this way sir. It seems we met eachother again." her wings twitch a bit getting a bit more comfrotable before she takes another step. "I tend to be more guarded here in Manhattan than Tranverse town." She can relax more there with its high non human population. "Yes it's not enjoyable having to skulk in the shadows in one's own home...as I said to you when we last met, Auron."
Auron Auron turns his head towards the sound of the voice as Brooklyn speaks. Indeed, he can see that there's never really an 'unarmed' state for a Gargoyle. But 'hands up' seems to be the universal symbol for 'I mean you no harm'. Auron's own hands are easily seen as well, though they aren't raised. His right hand rests down at his side normally, and his left can still be seen even with the odd placing of his arm.

Well, it doesn't seem like Auron's 'big plan' is 'Get 'Em!' He stands in a reasonably relaxed manner, indicating he has no intentions to attack. He wait until both of them have spoken before he makes his thoughts known on the matter. "...Little wonder. I've seen no other race than humans here. And I've heard rumors that your race are... not well received by some." That's putting it mildly. But he understands why they're cautious.
Brooklyn "That's putting it lightly." Brooklyn says, before he moves closer to Auron. He sniffs the air a couple of times, to get a bit more of Auron's scent, "Auron? Your name, I take it?" The red gargoyle says as he moves closer. Then he holds out one of his claws to Auron. He's seen this gesture done plenty of times as a greeting from humans to other humans, "My name is Brooklyn. If you are truely an ally, then I welcome you to Manhattan."
Deidra Deidra says "Pretty midle way of putting it yes. With how the heartless are getting we could use all the help we can get." She grins a little a fang showing without her meaning it to show. "So just what brings you to this city? Is is the Pizza or business?"
Auron Auron nods as Brooklyn speak his name. However, Brooklyn might note something strange about his scent. There's something 'off' about it, some way. It's hard to describe how. But something that indicates that there is something not right about him. Not to mention the scent of fresh water and... ozone? The latter is an ever-so-slight trace... just a hint of that fuzzy, tingly scent of the air after a thunderstorm.

The offered claw/hand is noted, but Auron pauses. He notes the hesitation in the gesture -- not the hesitation of someone doing something against his will, but that of someone who was not overly familiar with the gesture. There's a moment of pause. And then Auron does something he would not normally do.

He returns the offered handshake.

He also looks to Deidra. He's seen that word around town, on signs to restaurants that. He offers a bit of a smirk at the question, and answers, "...Business." A pause. "...Do either of you know of a 'David Xanatos'?" He keeps any trace of emotion, positive or negative, out of his tone, because he has no idea if they have any strong feelings about the man.
Brooklyn Auron may not have strong feelings about Xanatos, but does that not apply to all present. Brooklyn immediately bristles upon hearing the name and, although he's doing his best to be amicable, releases the handshake, "You're here for him?" He clenches one of his claws and turns away from Auron, eyes drifting up towards the Eyrie Building, and Castle Wyvern sitting atop it.

"What business do you have with him? Probably offering to sell you the moon or some other ridiculous promise." He snarls faintly, "Xanatos is not who he appears to be. He is a maniuplative, scheming, dishonorable villain who's only out for himself."
Deidra Deidra says "Business? I see, well if there's one thing this city does is resources it can trade with other worlds." Being skills, tech, that of thing for raw materials. Then the name o the TDA's current major client and backer. She pauses at Brooklyn. She looks at him for a moment a long moment her face full of concern. She's now very very quiet and almost slinking back.
Auron Now /this/ is a reaction Auron didn't expect. Perhaps it's good that he missed that meeting after all? But still Brooklyn's question does need an answer. "...There's a possibility that a place called Baron will lead an assault on Manhattan." Pause. And then he supplies, "...No, /he/ didn't tell me that." He turns his head, to look out over the city, not in the same direction as Brooklyn. "...If Baron attacks, many people will die. This 'Xanatos' is supposedly gathering people to defend it, in case there is an attack."

He notes Deidra's sudden hunkering down and wonders at it. But he doesn't ask about it; if whatever was bothering her was something she wanted to air here, she would have. To both of them, he notes, "...He knows more about the people that may be planning to attack this place, and I don't want to see your city be destroyed."

A pause, and he closes his eye briefly. As he opens his eye again, he offers a bit of information about himself. "...I am a Guardian in my own world," he admits. "...The urge to protect others rather follows me."
Brooklyn The idea of an attack on Manhattan coming from an outside source is not something Brooklyn had considered. Back when they first arrived here, he was as concerned as the rest of the clan about the lack of walls to repel invaders...But they soon learned that most of the threats come from within the city itself. It would seem that this was no longer the case.

After a long silence, Brooklyn looks back from the castle towards Auron, "You have no reason to lie to me, and that's why I believe you when you say there is a threat to the city." He says, though by now he's frowning slightly, "But I have no doubt that Xanatos' reasons to protect the city are as selfish as anything else he has ever done in his life.

"As I told Deidra, my duty is to this city and it's inhabitants, as is my whole clan's. If there is this great of a threat, we will...Put aside our differences with Xanatos in order to ensure Manhattan's saftey. That is our main priority."
Deidra Deidra says "Baron was one of the threats we have encounted. Monsters, magic, and at least a basic understandinf of technology make them very dangerous." She keeps really quite about Xanatos hows she going to tell him yes he's why she's got a safe place to sleep and her friends have jobs. This would go over real well she'll not lie about it but ohs he's not bringing it up right now...
Auron Auron nods. That's what he had hoped. "...That was my only concern," he confirms. He doesn't bother mentioning that he was supposed to meet the man earlier. But he will take a moment to note, "...If someone destroys the city, his interests will be compromised too. That should prompt him not to try anything." Hopefully. Unless this fellow was far more manipulative than Brooklyn seemed to be indicating. Does he believe Brooklyn? Perhaps. Like him, the Gargoyle had no reason to lie. He lived in this place, too. If Brooklyn kept Auron from defending the city, it would be detrimental to /him/, too.

He nods to Deidra's comment. "...And /that/ is why my concern. It's not the Machina here. I've seen no magic here. If none of the people defending against a possible magic attack actually /use/ magic, they may be ill-equipped to deal with it," he notes. A pause. "...The hope is that they won't attack. But in case they do... preparations will have to be made."
Brooklyn "I want to go with you, when you meet with Xanatos." Brooklyn says, "I do not want him to plot and plan without at least someone from the clan being aware of what he is planning." This may be the best way to figure out what Xanatos is plotting, but during the city of stone incident, Xanatos really did have the city's best interests in heart...And his own, of course, "That is if you don't mind. I can keep myself under control." Unless Demona shows, but that's besides the point.
Deidra Deidra nods for a moment to Brooklyn "Look umm we may need to talk about some other things later Brooklyn ya." She's got to think of how to tell him about the TDA's connections as it would be bad if it came out otherwise but right now she's not sure how to do so...it's going to be a long night.
Auron Ah. Therein lies the rub. The mention of the meeting draws an annoyed frown. But it's not aimed at Brooklyn. As his next words show. "...It was... actually supposed to be today," he admits. He looks up into the slowly brightening sky. "...I ran afoul of some idiot who thought I would be a good target for theft. The authorities kept me as well. For hours. I missed it." A pause. "...I'll try to find out what I missed. If you come here again in three days' time, I'll tell you what I was able to discover. Is that agreeable?"

He's not ignoring Deidra... but these things she needs to speak with Brooklyn about are probably none of his business.
Brooklyn "That's fine by me." Brooklyn says in response to Auron, as he looks back to Deidra, "That's fine. I'll take you back to the rest of the clan and.." He pauses, and then narrows his eyes slightly, "One of these days I've got to buy a watch."

Of course Deidra can see the first says of sunlight hitting Brooklyn's beak, as his whole body turns to stone mid-thought.
Deidra Deidra nods "Look Brooklyn We need to talk about something with my connections before we...." The warm of the rising sun, has it been that long? She's got this oh you have to be kidding me look on her face as the sun rises and she turns to stone just kinda looking at both brooklyn's and Auron as this happens.
Auron "...."

Auron quirks the brow of his remaining eye at this new development. Well that's interesting. Suddenly he's talking to a pair of statues. And it happened just when he sun came up. Perhaps they're only active at night, and this is the form they take in the daytime. Perhaps this is why they aren't often seen by humans? This does seem to be a rather glaring vulnerability for these Gargoyles to have, especially for humans who think them monsters.

He takes a few steps nearer to the now-statues on the roof. And reaches out his right hand, to place his fingertips on a shoulder. First of one Gargoyle, and then of the other. It's a light touch, as he doesn't know what will disturb or harm them like this.

Yup. Stone. just like a statue.

"...Hmm...."

Well, there's nothing further that Auron can learn for the time being, is there? Not with them like this. He isn't sure if they can percieve him or not. He offers a single slow nod of respect to them both. And then he turns, to head back down the hatch in the roof. He'll have to break the news to Tifa.

Oh, yeah, Tifa? You kinda have a couple nice new decorations on your roof for a while. At least until that evening....
