Misdirections
(2012-11-07 - 2012-12-17)
Cirra encounters Reize and Kaydin in a grassy field, and makes a terrible terrible mistake. She asks Reize to show the way.
Reize Seatlan The French countryside is the place to go in order to see the outlook of life. The quality of life in the countryside gives out paler grass, yet the sky is sunnier and th lands consist of mostly rolling hills. It's a perfect traveling weather, givn that the season of fall has not become one filled with snow.

One person who travels through the countryside is one young individual. He has already purchased a few goods while at one of the towns. It's a young boy who doesn't look older than fourteen. The Boy with the Long Yellow Scarf is sitting on the top of a hill, gazing ahead at the countryside while eating a loaf of bread.

"Yyyyyuuuuummmy~!" He brightens, devouring the bread. The countryside is rather peaceful, given the farmhouses and cottages about.

So many places to explore.
Kaydin "Arent you one of Mercade's friends?" Kaydin asks calmly as he comes through the portal, the sound of metal hitting metal is heard as he walks to the teen and looks him over. "You look better, the giant robot chicken had walloped you good last I checked."
Cirra Constantine Exploration! Adventure! Excitment!

A Judge craves not these thing. So it's no wonder Cirra Constantine looks disgruntled as she walks down the road through France, looking at a piece of paper as she walks. She stops and looks up at the hilltop as she hears voices.

Thats a Dark Knight of Baron. She swings her Judge helmet up and puts it on her head. The runt beside him may also draw her attention. But for now, Baron :|
Reize Seatlan It was a relaxing day. There was no one to disrupt the peacefulness of the atmosphere, no one to ruin the surroundings. It is just Reize, his loaf of bread, and the surroundings that is the French countryside. The air is fresh, the sun is shining, everything is great! A hand reaches out to his mouth with the loaf of bread. Reize lifts a jaw open, preparing to take a bite.

That would had been the case if it was not interrupted by the presence of metal against the ground. Then there is the sound of metal hitting metal. The mouth shuts, his head slowly paning towards the person. He presents a cheery smile while he greets the incoming person.

"Ooooi--..." Blink. Ohgod. It is the guy who likely has one of those vans that tries to get kids to follow him. Or would that be carriages. Reize squints slightly.

Nevertheless, Reize keeps a very cheerful smile on his face, "Oooiiii!" He tilts his head over, "Well, considering that it took some time, yeah. I am still alive." He pauses, looking the knigh over, "...Did you ever find out why the Heartless were trying to take those canisters?"

Of course, the presence of the Judge is still unknown.
Kaydin Kaydin shakes his head. "No. But I am willing to wager that it must be of some importance, and probably from someone capable of controlling the heartless." Kaydin says as he looks about. "
Kaydin Kaydin shakes his head. "No. But I am willing to wager that it must be of some importance, and probably from someone capable of controlling the heartless." Kaydin says as he looks about. "Did you ever find out anything?" He asks with a curious gaze before he looks out once more to the landscape. "This place is quite lovely. Reminds me of home in Baron."
Cirra Constantine And then the Judge walks straight up the hill and stops a few meters from the pair, hands set on hips. The unfeeling gaze of the Judge's helmet looks over both. The boy is... the leader of hte Shard Seekers, and well the Dark Knight of Baron is a Dark Knight of Baron. Things are a bit tense there with Cirra's own country.

"What are you doing here, Baron?"
Reize Seatlan The news brings a frown to the boy's place. He had the feeling that it would have to be the case. His eyes lift up to the sky, thinking over the situation closely. He should ask Mercade about what he knows, since he was there. It also gives him the chance to recruit Mercade for an upcoming mission. Those thoughts pass when Kaydin speaks to him.

"... No." A frown is given, "I was hospitalized at the bed for a while. It took my friends to make sure I was still alive after the incident." He frowns, "I just wonder how much did they get away wi---..."

And then the Judge arrives.

As the six foot tall woman walks in towards the group, Reize can't help but to lok up at the intimidating figure. He tilts his head at the figure. With the helmet on, she seems pretty scary.

However, Reize keeps a cheery smile and waves a hand his way with the loaf of bread in his mouth. "HHhoooooooooohhhhhh!!! (Ooooooooiiiii!)"
Kaydin Kaydin stops and turns to look to the Judge, tilting his head as he looks to the being in the heavy metal armor. "I guess I could ask the same thing of you. Last I checked, Archadia was in another direction. I should consider myself lucky, a mere dark knight meeting one of the famed Judges of Archadia. I hear rumor that you conquer anyone who even looks interesting." He says calmly, watching the being intensely.

He then looks to Reize. "If I knew where you were I would have visited you. The white mages of Baron tended to my own injuries when I returned. Finally got a new set of armor today." Kaydin says as he pats his shiny black armor.
Cirra Constantine Cirra looks back down at Reize again, she might be frowning. Turning to look at Kaydin again she huffs, "Don't play me for a fool Dark Knight. Baron's own ambitions become more obvious with every passing week." she starts walking around the pair. "If a Dark Knight is here, Baron's taking an interest in this place."
Reize Seatlan Reize, still having the bread in his mouth, is thankfully unaware of the woman's frown towards him. However, it looks like that the two are in a heated argument. It's likely one of those adult talk sort of stuff. The kid has to be nosey.

However, there is interesting information gleamed from it. A bit of dispute or conflict between Archadia and Baron. The two are getting a look over by the boy.

Taking bread off of his mouth, he happily chews it. "...Hopefully not. This place is too peaceful to get anymore disturbances." He frowns. He takes another bite of his bread. "...Don't we have enough with the Heartless as is?"
Kaydin "Some nations see the chaos as a means to advance one self in power. All Baron is trying to do is to gain the crystals so that we may be able to defend our borders better from the heartless." Kaydin says to the child before looking to the woman. "I simply came for the scenary and to wander about. Sitting still for too long is almost stifling." He says as he tilts his head. "Though I find it curious that Archadia would care for outside it's borders."
Cirra Constantine "Yes, some people would use the chaos for self advancement." Cirra continues to apce, "And Baron's attempts on the Crystals are exactly that. Nothing but a thinly vieled attempt to sequester power for themselves. The Crystals are not for you alone."
Reize Seatlan Kingdoms using the chaos to advance themselves, yet Baron's justification is protection. However, from the things that he has read on Baron, it seems to be otherwise. Reize's eyes narow towards Kaydin suspiciously. However, he exhales a sigh while he looks over towards the sky.

Baron aftering the crystals. Reize decides to keep silent on that for some time.

Instead...

"It's too nice of a day to have conflict like this." His eyes shut, the wind blows along his scarf to knock it into the air. It's a nice, comforting feeling.
Kaydin "He is right. If you want, we can go to someplace else to trade blows." Kaydin says as he would look about. "I am curious about what brings a judge out here. Arent you and your fellows usualy too busy to do anything?" He asks curiously.
Cirra Constantine Cirra stops pacing and crosses her arms. "My business is merely exploration. The Judge Magisters remain at their stations."

"If you want to suggest a location, then do so."
Reize Seatlan There is a frown. The fact that the two are still arguing is still rather bothersome. Reize tilts his head over to see the choices that they make.

He stretches his arms up into the air, "...It seems that you two have things to get out of your chest.. I think Traverse Town has a Colosseum!" He brightens as he helpfully recommends a place.
Kaydin "A colosseum. It would settle things. Which are better, the dark knights for the judges?" Kaydin asks curiously as he watches the woman as he smirks at her, though the smirk is hidden by his helmet.
Cirra Constantine Cirra humphs, "Fine then, Traverse Town colosseum." she uncrosses her arms. She looks at Reize, "You know the way from here?"
Reize Seatlan That is the fated question that one would ask of Reize. Does he know the direction to the Colosseum? That is the fated question that is a path of life and death. One can almost feel an uneasy feeling as the young boy places a hand over towards his chin. He scratches his head and the finger brushes underneath his chin.

That is when Reize pulls out a sheet of paper from his pouch. He unfolds the paper and he rolls it up to where the display is presented for him to see. "Traverse Town... I think we should be able to find it from here...." He brightens a smile.

"Follow me!" The young boy is wandering down along the country hill.
Kaydin "Why do I get the feeling we will become hopelessly lost?" Kaydin asks curiously as he follows the boy, keeping an eye on the judge as he walks along.
Cirra Constantine "Don't be ridiculous." Cirra says to Kaydin, then looks at Reize's map. For the half second it's visible. "It has to be faster then tracking back to Rabanster or Baron first."
Reize Seatlan 0OH SO MANY HOURS LATER!

"...I don't think that this is Traverse Town."

What gives that indication to the boy is the sound of the seagulls cawing as they hover over the surrounding area. Previously, the group were in the French Countryside, enjoying the nice, wonderful atmosphere that is the hills and sunny weather.

Now? The current surroundings are a bit more dank and dreary. It's not safe to wander around Manhattan, especially with at the docs. While it is the place where comercial goods are generally sold and transported, the area is often where the gangs and other dangerous groups frequent.

To top it all off, it was not exactly the ost safe travel. Many Heartles loomed around, seeking the hearts of the travelers, especially Reize. Further complicating the travel were natural monsters trying to make a meal out of both Kaydin and Cirra's armor.

Now, Reize is at the very end of the docks, holding onto the map. Currently, it's upside down. Many of the sailors and shiploaders move past the boy, some of them going, "Watch it, kid!"

"...Maybe we sould had taken a right."
Cirra Constantine Somewhere along the line, Cirra punched a monster. It exploded. That probably says a ot about why she's a Judge.

Through forest, caves, plains and deserts, monsters and heartless and heartless men. All of which dealt with using a strength and pseed that bordered on hte super natural, they now stand at the end of the docks of Manhatten. Cirra glowering at Reize through her helmet.

"I take it back, your sense of direction is terrible." At least it's civlized, technically.

"Did you even know wher eyou were to begin with?"
Kaydin "I warned you." Kaydin says as he follows. He kept his arms crossed and let the judge fight all the monsters since she seemed so intent on doing so. Only when the heartless and monsters got too close to Reize did Kaydin draw his sword to end them. While she fought, he judged her skills, observed them as he follows along. "This is the world called Manhattan. I been here before to give a gift to a friend of mine." He says as he looks about.
Raiya Fujihara Among the grizzled dock-workers, scampish pickpockets, and gang member ne'er'do-wells, there is also a samurai. This katana-wearing warrior is sitting at the edge of the docks with her feet dangling loosely over the side, her sandals fighting gravity to stay on her feet. No one seems to be really bothering her too much and it is not a far-fetched conjecture to assume it her sword that is keeping people away.

Raiya looks to be seemingly lazing about when she catches the sight of someone familiar out of the corner of her eye. Oh! It is Reize. And that Judge from the desert....and...Raiya pauses as she observes the two walking suits of armor for a moment. She has -no- idea who the last person is.

The wandering swordswoman decides that she has rested long enough and stands carefully getup from her position so that she can hail this incoming trio. "Greetings," begins the kimono and circular hat wearing woman as she approaches the group. "The fates are kind to bring more fellow travellers to this fair city. What brings you three to this part of town?" Raiya asks of the group eventually with an easy smile being worn on her face.
Reize Seatlan Reize could not help but be impressed by Cirra's ability to punch monsters and make them explode. It was phenomenal strength. For the most part, it seemed like Reize did not have to exert too much strength. Instead, he had to rely on reading the map to figure out what direction that they would go to.

Too bad that was not favorable for the group.

At Cirra's admonishing glower through her helmet, Reize gives a sheepish smile with a sweatdrop. He can feel that glower piercing through helmet and possibly through him. He looks up towards the annoyed Cirra, "Yes! I know where I am!" He pumps a fist up triumphantly.

His eyes become dots for a moment.

...
...

And then Kaydin answers.

"Yes! Manhattan!" He brightens happily, "I've been here a few times! I have some friends that are here!" He beams happily.
But then, afamiliar person arrives. "Oh! THere is one of them right now!" he wavesa hand towards the katana warrior. "Oiiiiiiiiiii, Raaaaiyaaaa! It is good to see you again!" He keeps a bright smile on his face, "Uhh... " He looks over towards the two, then he looks back at her, "...I'm trying to lead them to Traverse Town so that they can fight in the arena."

He leans over towards the samurai, holding a hand over his mouth to stage whisper to her in a conspiratory manner, "...I think the one in the armor is pretty grumpy." ....BOTH of them are in armor, to be fair.
Cirra Constantine Cirra inhales, and lets out an irritated sigh. She turns to look at Raiya as she approaches. She looks the samurai up and down, recognizing her ffrom the 'rescue' mission of the young nobel's daughter. She nods at her once.

Turning to look at Reize as he finally figures out where they are, thanks to someone else. She plucks the map from between Reize's fingers and turns it around to look at it. "I've been to Manhattan once before." she won that oversized paper weight in an silent auction.

"Where we /want/ to be is Traverse Town."
Kaydin Kaydin remains silent while Reize talks to his friend and that Cirra takes the map from him. "Pleasure M'lady. I am Kaydin, Dark knight of Baron. Our friend Reize was trying to lead us to Traverse town, though it seems his sense of direction is about as good as mine." He says with a bit of a chuckle, his face hidden by the helmet except his blue green eyes.
Raiya Fujihara Contrary to this heavily armored pair of Cirra and Kaydin, Raiya appears to be barely wearing any armor at all. Her kimono might be concealing something, but the only pieces of armor that are actually visible are her armguards that can be seen when her sleeves get drawn back from her own movement.

Reize's friendly greeting causes Raiya's smile to widen. The infectious energy of youth such as Reize was something to behold. The explanation of what they were -trying- to do versus what they -actually- did causes Raiya's smile to turn into a smirk. "This has been quite a detour indeed. The three of you are not far now -if- you can navigate the portals here with proficiency." The samurai explains simply.

Kaydin's introduction causes the Ronin to turn his way. She reaches up and pushes up her hat a little bit so that she can get a better look at Kaydin or Kaydin's armor atleast. That was a pretty impressive set of armor, it must be a very strenous task keeping it in good shape. "I am simply called Raiya these days. How fortunate to run into another 'knight'. Is your third member a knight as well?" The blonde woman then gestures towards the only person whom she does not know by name now, Cirra.
Reize Seatlan "Well..." Reize looks towards Cirra, who seems pretty grumpy to the boy. Nevermind that he did get her lost. However, she was grumpy to begin with! The young traveler looks her over and he thinks over the matter, "Well.." He blinks, "I think she is a Judge."

Then, he squints and turns towards Cirra, who may likely whap him upside the head at some point of the future.

"...What's a Judge?"
Cirra Constantine Cirra...cannot make any sense of Reize's map. She turns it around, then again. "What does any of this scrawl even mean?" she huffs and holds the paper back out to Reize. "Yes. I'm a Judge." she turns to look at Reize directly.

"A Judge enforces the law of Archadia and goes where the Empire demands of them."
Kaydin "And if she wanted to lock you away and have you tortured for the way your nose looks on your face she has the power to do so within her empire. Basically the judges act in the name of their ruler and has the same powers. Only people who can overturn them is the ruler themself." Kaydin says calmly as he would look to the woman in heavy armor bfore looking to Reize. "Dont worry, her sort are naturally grumpy and stuffy to begin with. Comes with the power."
Raiya Fujihara What an interesting choice of travel companions that Reize has chosen! Kaydin's politeness despite his intimidating armor and title makes some sense, but Cirra's frosty demeanor makes that choice a little more difficult to understand. Eh. But then again, Raiya travelled with a mass-murderer and a traitorous general. She really is no one to judge.

The more elaborate explanation given by Kaydin causes Raiya to frown slightly. The samurai is quite glad that she did not live in a country that belonged to this 'Archadian Empire'. The draconic nature of these Judges was far too similar to the power afforded to magistrates from Wutai if not as extreme. "I see. Still, one who lives their life by a certain code of virtues and...laws is someone I could respect. Far few do these days."
Cirra Constantine "And a Dark Knight of Baron would steal anything from you if it he thought it was too important to leave in the hands of it's owners." Cirra gives Kaydin a frosty glare through her helemt. "The Magisters are entrusted with power from the Emporer, and htey dictate to us, the regular Judges what must be done." Cirra points a finger at Kaydin "/Your/ King has you steal treasures from neautral parties under the aegis of unilateral actions of so called 'defense'."
Reize Seatlan When presented with the map, Reize takes it back and he looks it over. "Well, you see..." He points over towards the one part of the map, "This is the direction that we were supposed to take in order to get to Traverse Town."

The saddest thing is that it looks like it was drawn in crayon. It's an amazing situation for one to be in. Yet, when Cirra explains the role of a judge, Reize listens to her carefully and he rubs is chin. "So they enforce the law of Archadia..." Though, Kaydin's explanation earns a wince from the boy.

...And the two go at it again. "Mada mada..." He looks over towards Raiya, "I think they will settle in a fight soon..." He looks around the area, seeing the people passing through.

Observing this, many of the sailors have started to back up. Some of them back away while others chant, "Ooohh! You gonna take that?!"

"Yeah! Don't let her punk you!"
Kaydin "Actually I never met the king so he has never ordered me to steal anything. Of course, recently the king says that to have peace, we have to make sure the crystals are taken and stored by our nation to keep the wrong forces from getting their hands on it. Judging from the methods of which is being done to get the crystals however, I am beginning to think something has happened to cause our king to become evil, or being controlled. However, I took an oath to serve to protect Baron. The moment our nation is threatened by trying to get these crystals, I will be forced to uphold my oath." Kaydin says calmly as he watches the woman. "I wonder how many in Rabanastre view your empire and their laws as fair and just?" He asks calmly.
Raiya Fujihara The bickering between the two heavily armored individuals causes Raiya to remain smirking weakly. She touches the side of her temple with her left armored hand for a brief moment before dropping her arm back down to her side. The Ronin herself knows little of either kingdom in which this Judge and Dark Knight come from. The politics of their conflict are completely lost to her.

Because of that, she looks to Reize who mentions a possible fight between them. And then, people start gathering around to watch as if the fight will break out here. Raiya suddenly has the urge to touch her temple once more. "Such tension is best released through an honorable duel." The blonde woman offersto the feuding pair. "One can talk on and on, but one can only fight for so long."
Cirra Constantine "Rabanstre's king signed the treaty with our nation. We give them the forces they need to protect them that they lost against Archadia." Cirra begins pacing again, circling Kaydin.

"OH my, what a convient sense of honor you have. You suspect your King has been controlled and think ill of his orders, but you will still follow those orders?"

"Is this tripe to protect your personal honour at the expense of dirtying your country's?" Cirra stosp, feet shoulder width apart.

"I agree with the Samurai. I've had enough of talking about this. Draw your weapon."
Kaydin "What is something you keep only after you have given it away?" Kaydin asks as he watches the woman and sighs. "I guess it cant be avoided." He says as he draws the sword at his hip, the black blade beginning to glow and the area about Kaydin darkens. "You seem eager to fight. Start us off, Judge." He says calmly.
Reize Seatlan "...Hrm." Reize frowns, looking at both Kaydin and Raiya. He frowns towards Kaydin even more. So, the king wants to gather the crystal to their kingdom. Whatever the reason there is for that, Reize is disliking the information more and more.

A sigh is given, thenhe tuns his head towards Raiya.

As the two are aut to fight, Reize looks towards the samurai. "...I think we better let them battle." A smile is given, as faint as it is.
Reize does, however, rummage into his pouch to get his notebook and begins writing on it.
Raiya Fujihara Samurai, Judge, Knight....Reize. They are all devoted to one cause or another these days and it is purely the seemingly random threads of fate that bind them altogether. It seems that these two were destined to fight so Raiya acquiesced to this duel of theirs. Perhaps after the dust has settled, there can be peace. Then again, that is the hope of most warrior anywhere.

Reize gets a nod in return to his suggestion. The wandering ronin does take a few steps back to give these two heavily armored figures some room. Wait, what's that! A hotdog stand! The samurai happily goes and purchases two hotdogs before returning next to Reize. One of her two hotdogs is offered to him. It is no lie that Raiya has taken a liking to the odd food of choice here in Manhattan. Also, one should never view a duel to the death on an empty stomach.
Cirra Constantine Cirra rolls her shoulders as Kaydin finally relents to a fight. "I'm eager to see Baron back in it's place." Then she rushes forward to attack!

Kaydin saw her punching things on their journey, her technique was unrefined, sloppy and frankly terrible, but it had ridiculous strength and speed behidn it, surely he can easily put her down if she attacks unarmed.

That plan may go out the window as Cirra puts her foot down, spinning in place as she draws a metal pole from her back. Which unfolds and extends. Into a pretty wicked looking scythe.

The weapon is brought around as she steps in, the weapon slicing up through the air, then down again. The butt end of the staff jabbing out for Kaydin's stomach before Cirra twirls it around and brings the blade down again.
Kaydin Kaydin tries to dodge the blow but is unable to, staggering back a bit. He readies his sword and comes in swinging, two strikes which seemed to be aimed at her arms while he brings his sword up and down to try and cleave at the woman's helmet, grunting as he puts some force behind it.

"I will atleast admit to the wrongs my nation has done. What of you? Can you admit the wrongs of your nation?" Kaydin says calmly.
Reize Seatlan The boy had been busy getting his notebook and writing something. He took a spot along the crowd. He continues to write on the notebook, trying to get his information up. He furrows his eyebrows, making sure he got everything written.

When he's offered the hotdog, Reize turns to face Raiya and he brightens his smile at her. "Thanks!" He takes the hot dog and he takes a bite out of it. A thoughful smile is given, "... Lily has been doing well since you last saw her." He tilt his head over to her. "...She's extremely powerful." The smile becomes a bit sadden, "...Extremely powerful."

He calls over for one of the pigeons to come his way. A pigeon isn't too far, the boy holds the hand out for the creature to take his hand.

...It eyes the hotdog.

Then it eyes is antenna hair.

..It chomps the antenna hair.

"OWOWOWOWOWOWOW!" It keeps tugging.
Raiya Fujihara It really is too bad that Lily was not here too or else Raiya would have bought her a hotdog as well. Raiya nods to Reize at his word of thanks and then settles in to watch the match. The word about Lily causes Raiya to smile Reize's way. "I am quite pleased that she is doing well." The second part draws a look of concern from the swordswoman. "You seem concerned. Can she not control this power?"

Now that the fight has started, Raiya glances that way. However, she can not watch for long as Reize gets attacked by a very hungry pigeon. The reserved ronin stifles a laugh as she casually tries to shoo the pigeon away from Reize.
Cirra Constantine Cirra steps back, the scythe spinning around in her fingers, the curveed blade and pole knockign the sword off from each attack. This is why her fist fighting seemed sloppy, because her skill in the scythe is clearly where she put her effort in training.

"Archades defended itself from aggression. We didn't rush out to make enemies of others. Our enemies came to /us/." She circles the Dark Knight again, "What about you? How long will you wait for Baron's King to make you move?"

Moving in again, Cirra spins the poke in her hands as she turns around, sending te blade scaything through hte air for the Dark Knight once, twice before drorpping back into a deffensive stance with the curved blade.
Reize Seatlan After Raiya shoos the pigeon away, Reize reaches for the bird to stick the paper on its leg. Then he swings his hand at the bird's head to send it off.

"Hee, thanks." Reize brightens. However, back to the comment on Lily... "...Not quite, I'm afraid..." He thinks over the matter with Lily. He runs his hand along his hair. His eyes drift towards the samurai. "...'Fraid not." He considers thoughtfully.

"She's still discovering herself. ... It's strange that she has no memories of her life, but---..." His eyes drift towars he Judge as she makes accusations from Cirra.
Kaydin "The oath I took was to serve the king and protect the people of Baron." Kaydin says as he leaps into the air now to avoid the slashes and swings his sword. "We dont conquer the homes of others and take their lands. How many nations have your empire taken to gain it's power?" He asks as he slashes at the air, sending a black energy blast down at the woman before sending another blast at her before dropping his sword, catching it by the chain on the pommel and spins it. "And yet we give you worry and doubt it seems." He says as he hurls the black sword down at her as hard as he can.
Cirra Constantine Cirra turns her shoulder into the strikes from Kaydin as she braces her legs. The Magic hits her, pushing her back with each blow, the sword swung on its chain strikes as well sending upa spray of sparks against her Judge armor.

"You're the weakling that sees corruption but won't do anything about it!"

Cirra runs across the ground and leaps up, the Scyth blade reaching out to hook around Kaydin and pull him down towards Cirra. The Judge uses the leverage to sping around their combined center of mass, pulling the scythe back to herself as she spin around to slice at him horizontally.

Once more she pulls the scythe back, and lets herself drop to hte ground, holing the weapon out to her side to let her own weight and speed to strike at Kaydin as she drops back to the ground, dragging him along with her.
Raiya Fujihara The jovial reaction Raiya had over Reize's pigeon encounter soon fades as she learns about Lily's troubles. Poor girl. A hand is placed on her chin as she considers the situation. Her concentration is divided between this and the ongoing fight at hand as both Cirra and Kaydin's intensity and rhetoric have both increased.

Her green eyes eventually drift back towards her younger cohort. "I would not want to overstep my bounds here. But Lily should not be facing this alone." She offers in a friendly smile now. "I am sure that you have been supportive towards her, but if she ever needs an...experienced point of view or person to converse with, then I would happily volunteer."
Kaydin Kaydin gets dragged down and droped to the ground, metal arcing as he slams into the ground. Thankfully he landed near his sword so he grabs it and rushes in, turning it to cleave upwards hopefully to try and drive the woman up before two more slashes at her, black energy flying for her as he continues on. "How did you grow up, Judge?" He asks as he watches and waits now.
Reize Seatlan Stupid bird.

Reize's antenna looks like it's been beaten all through hell. Considering the bird had assaulted it, it's no wonder. However, after a bite of the hot dog, his eyes drift towards the fight. He winces towards the combatants. Though, the two locked into battle is quite a site to see.

His attention turns towards the knight. A faint smile is given, "I am there for her... and the other Shard Seekers are there for her." He muses, "Though, I think a more experienced point of view may be good for her."
Cirra Constantine Cirra seems to refuse to be thrown up into the air, the scythe whirls and slashes through every attempt Kaydin makes to strike, be it magical or with his blade.

Her wepon clashes against Kaydin's sword as it slashes diagonly upwards, and Cirra tips her entire body forward, moving over the scythe's haft like it was one of the verticle bars in gymnastics to land on the otherside, and relases it, spinning around in mid air as she turns to grasp hold of it again.

Cirra takes a step back and observes Kaydin, andas he asks his question...

Her eyes glow golden like a Black Mage's, dark magic forms around her body, solidfying into transparent fields of force.

"Learning the arts of the Dark Knight."
Kaydin "So like me you sought power, to use the darkness which lurked in us to become stronger, but what reason was yours for?" Kaydin asks as he would send a slash of black energy at her, jumping up as he swings his sword again to send another blast and once more, he grabs the sword's chain, spinning it and hurling the blade at the judge now.
Raiya Fujihara "Please extend my offer, but I understand perfectly if she does want my assistance, the help of a relative stranger. And there are also some things that one must face alone." Raiya says to Reize as she continues to watch the ongoing fight. Cirra's ability to deflect would not normally be surprising due to her heavy armor, but it is Cirra's scythe work that also seems to be of great help. The oppressive nature of the magic of both the Judge and the Dark Knight is worrisome. Wutai gave into dark powers for strength. Have these two done the same?

Finally, the samurai turns back to Reize. "It gladdens my heart to hear you so supportive of your friend. This group of yours seems to realize what is important in life, each other." Raiya goes on to say with some painful overtones afflicting her tone.
Reize Seatlan Another takeaway from the fight. Both of them use the power of darkness. He squints for a moment, "...So she is a user of the darkness as well...?" Reize listens to both of the combatants. "...Is it the same as with the powers of the Heartless...?"

hat is when Reize's pendant starts glowing. In fact, the liht had been dim at first. However, that glow is becoming a bit more brighter.

Soon, the light dims slightly. His attention drifts towards Raiya, "She may remember you!" The mention of the group earns a smile, "We're working our way to become an official group, but... I am certain that things will go well for us all."
Cirra Constantine The strikes hit Cirra's shields, they hold but they meant to blunt attacks, instead of stoping them outright. The energy strikes her armor and the sword slash drives her back through the air towards a building. "The darkness I use is part of the natural order. The space between all things is filled with the black of night like what stars rested in. Maybe you should focus more on this...!" Cirra hits the wall with both feet and leaps off.

The scythe Comes down again with Cirra's weight, trying to drag Kaydin down, but she spins lashing up with one foot to kick Kayind in the stomach, imparting herself back towards the ground while trying tod rive the air from his lungs.
Kaydin Kaydin gets hit by the attacks and driven down into the ground despite his attempt to dodge out of the way. He gets knocked down hard and he uses his sword to get back upright before sending two more strike at her, the strikes quick so it may surprise her that he wasnt stunned. He pants as he sends a blast of black energy to try and send her back. "Not bad for a judge." He says with a panting breath.
Raiya Fujihara "Take care, Reize." Raiya intones as her green eyes leap from heavily armored combatant to equally heavily armored combatant. She turns towards him now and speaks in a much more hushed voice. "Especially around those who harness dark powers like they do. Such power can corrupt a soul unbeknownst to the practicioner." The samurai casts one more look towards the two fighters before flashing a smile towards Reize which betrays the serious tone she used a moment prior. "Until our fates align again." And with that, Raiya Fujihara walks off on her own with what is left of her hotdog in hand.
Cirra Constantine Cirra holds up her arm to soak the damage from the quick strikes, but the sparks off her armor tell that the impacts are hard and she's feeling it through the armor. THe blast of black energy blows her back, stumbling. She stands there, panting for a moment, "Ah... I suppose your pretty good for a Dark Knight of Baron. I have some other tricks though."

Cirra storms forward again and the scythe swings out, cracklign with purple energy that tries to sap Kaydin's defenses. She continues through the with the strike, enacting a deadly dance of the scything blade as it spin around her as she moves like some kind of bezerk battle ballarina, hte final spin coming as an upward slice.
hen she gets unexpected, she lifts off her helmet, silver hair flowing behind her as she dives in and...

Presses her mouth over Kaydin's. Or his helmet's mouth guard. The potential implications ruined when arcs of magical power flow back into Cirra from the Dark Knight.
Kaydin Kaydin tries to leap up only to be knocked back from the scythe but when she comes up to try and kiss him, he gasps behind his faceplate and pulls back, the helmet barely avoiding her lips as he readies himself. "As tempting as kissing you is, I dont think it would be as pleasurable for me." Kaydin says as he pants, before his body glows with a darkness from negative emotion. "My pain, My sadness, My anger...Shall be your loss." He says as he moves in with impossible speed, almost as if he blurs out of existance with the dark before he appears before her, sending his sword with the same speed to try and run her through. Wether or not he succeeds, however, the blade glows black, surging with the same darkness before a massive blast of dark energy fires from the sword, trying to engulf the woman now as he waits to see how she could react.
Cirra Constantine Blurring out of existance is usually an indication that someone is about to try and murder your face. They teach this at the Arcadian military academy!

Cirrac immediatly bundles herself up into the smallest available target with the most protection, it's the only chance she has to weather it.

The sword hits, threatening to get between the plates of Cirra's armor, it's unclear if blood is drawn, but the blast of engery sends Cirra flying, hitting the ground shoudler first and then rolling over across the wood of the docks until she comes to a stop.

Then she slowly, gets back to her feet, one hand holding herself. She is nothing, if not resilient. "I guess we're almost evenly matched..."

Moving in again, Cirra hefts up the blunt end of the scythe's haft and strikes out for the side of Kaydin's helmet and spins ithe scyth around to hit the opposite side.

Pulling one hand back by herseide Cirra chants. "0Darkness between worlds, binder of the universe, crush my enemy!"

She jams the hand forward, cracklign with black and purple eneregyies.

"0Gravity Bomb!"

It's exactly what it says on the tin.
Kaydin Kaydin gets the helmet knocked off of him, revealing the fact that the knight was infact only seventeen years old. He tries to leap out of the bomb's path, however he blasted and driven back as he shakes his head. "Your the girl from the market, I remember you, the one who was looking for a thing which stops anyone trying to stop your spell casting." He says as he pants now, just trying to catch his breath, landing on the ground and keeping blue green eyes on her.
Cirra Constantine Cirra isn't really that much older, a year, maybe two? She's just kind of tall. He pants, whisps of purple smoke coming off her hand that cast the spell.

"And?" she asks as she waits for Kaydin to go on. "What of it?"
Kaydin "Just trying to place you." Kaydin says as he watches her. "Do you want to call it a draw or should we try and finish it?" He asks as he would lean on his sword, looking into her eyes as if he was trying to read her, to learn more of the woman. "How much have you sacrificed for power?" He asks with concern.
Cirra Constantine Cirra pants a little and wipes at the corner of her mouth...

Then picks up her helemt at Kaydin's question. "My sacrifices were made for me without my consent." she turns and starts walkign away. "We'll finish this some other time."
Kaydin Kaydin grabs his helmet. "No matter what happens Cirra, do not lose yourself to the power and the darkness." He says as he would begin to walk towards her. "I will walk with you for now, till our ways split."
Cirra Constantine Stoping as Kaydin catches up, Cirra puts one hand on her hip with an exagurated sigh. Then lifts her helemt and clonks Kaydin on the head with it.

"Try not to say such cliche things, women like orginality."
Kaydin "How is this for originality, if I wasnt so nearly dead I would have let you kiss me." Kaydin says as he is clonked on the head as he looks her over once more.
Cirra Constantine Cirra looks pretty good, even under layers of armor. Shame about her frosty attitude. She turns to look at Kaydin, she leans forward slightly and whispers.

"You wouldn't have liked /that/ kiss."

Turnign again, she walks ahead into Manhattan, thent othe portals so she can find her way back to the Empire, she doesn't mind Kaydin following her until their paths diverge.
