No description.
Kaydin With the recent invasion by baron repelled with the damage to the hamlets and homes, one would think the monsters and heartless would be running rampant but surprisingly enough their numbers have been rather low. Perhaps the reason behind this was the fact that a dark knight from Baron was keeping the area clear cutted so to speak. As some heartless appear, he leaps and cleaves them in two with his black sword, helmet off of him so his youthful 17 year old face can be seen.
Auron Auron's wanderings have taken him away from Luca. Right now it's probably not a good place to be, given the situation that happened the previous day. He was very close to defeat. He's still a little weak from it, truth be told. And he doesn't know what being beaten that badly would do to his Unsent body. Would he reflexively return to the Farplane and be trapped there? Hopefully not.

But, regardless. He's left Luca for now, to let the clamor surrounding what happened die down. So that's why he finds himself here, out in these plains. But it's here that the sounds of battle catch his attention. Even still weak, he isn't about to leave someone in danger. He heads toward the sound, stopping just outside the battle lines. Someone is fighting those... 'Heartless'.

Still, he isn't about to swoop in and rescue someone that has things under control. So he pauses to take in the sight first. "...Need a hand?" he asks quietly. He makes no move to retrieve his sword, however; he's made known his intent to assist... if the fighter wishes it.
Kaydin Kaydin raises his sword as Auron makes his presence known. "No. I got this." He says calmly as his sword seems to glow with black energy before he sends a slash at the heartless, a black energy blast hitting the heartless and they vanish. Once the heartless was gone, he stops to turn around, looking to Auron. "Havent seen anyone like you before." He says as he leans his sword against his shoulder.
Auron Auron is likely unaware of Synestria's presence as of yet. Even if he is, he makes no indication of it. However, when aid is refused, he nods once, and stands by to watch. He's good at that, after all. The blast of darkness draws a very slight lifting of his chin, and he gives a thoughtful look to the ending battle. However, he says nothing.

At least, not until Kaydin speaks. "...I'm not from around here," he offers, with a tiny smirk hidden by his collar. However, the easing of the slight frown that seems permanently etched into his features is visible, glasses or not.
Kaydin "I know. I am from around here, and your dress is not really that common. Though I confess I do like the long coat and collar." Kaydin says as he would sheathe his weapon and offers a hand to Auron. "Name's Kaydin, Dark Knight of Baron." He says with a friendly tone, slight smile on his face.
Auron Handshake? Auron regards the outstretched hand for a moment. Though he doesn't return the handshake. He does, however, offer a respectful nod, almost a bow. And in return, he offers, "...Auron." Synestria's approach is from behind and to his right, however. Which makes him frown. He doesn't like people he doesn't know being on his right.

He steps to his right and turns to his left, so that he may keep both of them near his line of sight. He recognizes Synestria and offers a respectful nod of greeting. She probably heard his name a moment ago, as there really wasn't time to introduce themselves following the fiend attack....
Kaydin Kaydin lowers his hand. "Honor to meet you Auron. I am afraid I should warn you, it is dark times for Baron, the city nearby. The forces of baron wish to conquer everything to bring peace and order to this world. Unfortunatly one of their methods is the use of heartless. If you do go to Baron, be cautious." He says, and had been warning people not from the area as well.
Auron Ah, dark times? Auron raises the brow of his eye when Kaydin mentions 'dark times', and goes on to mention what these dark times are. A shrewd look enters the Samurai's expression, and he narrows his remaining eye when Kaydin offers his warning. He doesn't mention it just yet, then.

Synestria's mention fraws that frown back again. Heartless /and/ fiends? "...Hmph." Overkill much? To Kaydin, "...These are dark times for many worlds." He doesn't say it, but it can be inferred that his own world is among those. And then to Synestria, "...Who's responsible?"
Kaydin "Those were Golbez's personal sorcerers. They answer to him. They arent fiends, atleast the belief is they arent fiends." Kaydin says as he looks to Auron. "As a Dark Knight of Baron, I am honor bound to serve Golbez and Baigan and those who lead baron. I may not like their plans and methods but I cannot forsake my oath. I will simply obey while remaining as true to myself as I can." He says calmly.
Auron 'Rubicante'. He'll have to remember that name. Auron looks to the charred area as Synestria points to it, head tilted with a thoughtful expression. Fiends, eh? The only fiends with names -- at least, in Spira -- were very powerful ones. Ones who had once been human but their own hatred had changed them into fiends after death.

Kaydin offers explanation, and Auron nods once, slowly. "...So they aren't 'fiends' as Spira would know them." It's hard to tell if that was a question or not. But either way he offers no explanation as to how Spira would know a 'fiend'.

And it seems Kaydin's answered another question he had too. That shrewd, 'looking through' gaze fades from his countenance. "...I see," he replies. He could definitely understand that....
Kaydin "If what you say is true then we have indeed fallen worse then I believed. I grew up in Baron, became a dark knight to defend it, and I owe my new found power thanks to the training they gave me." Kaydin says as he sighs, rubbing his eyes. "So I have a choice, break the one thing left with any value, my word, or keep my word and continue to aid those with evil intents."
Auron Ah-ha. Another term he hasn't heard before -- 'Shadow Lord'. He'll file this information away for later. But he'll remain quiet as Synestria begins to speak, to tell about her own experience with this Shadow Lord, and how it might relate to Kaydin -- later, if not now.

The whole thing makes him frown darkly. But there's something under that frown that speaks to sadness instead of anger. Normally he wouldn't have commented on Kaydin's situation . But here he has to speak up. "...I thought much the same." Here the frown on his face eases again, turns into something more... sad. "...I once served... an organization in much the same way. I defended it against any who stood against it. Those were my orders, and I carried them out."

Here he pauses, and shakes his head. Before Auron begins to speak again, he turns, facing his back to the pair. This is to hide his expression from them both. Because he needs to keep control of himself here; emotions are his enemy now. But he needs to say this. "...Then I discovered the truth about them. Just before I lost everything that mattered. Everything I had sworn to protect."

Another pause. And then Auron speaks up again. "...If those you serve are truly evil, there will come a time when you will have to choose. Your faith in yourself... or your faith in those you serve. You'll have to decide for yourself which is more important to keep."
Synestria Synestria says, "Be true to yoursssssself, Kaydin. Alwaysssss." Synestria says softly before twitching her tail a little bit. "Sssssomething tellssssssss me that you are not on the ssssside of darknessssssss."""
Kaydin Kaydin nods. "I believe baron can be saved. There are still good people who serve and believe in baron without knowing the truth of things. I asked a friend of mine to find proof that cannot be dismissed." Kaydin says as he then looks to Synestria. "I use the darkness as a weapon to destroy my enemies. I use it to protect those unable to stand for themselves. Give these monsters and fiends a taste of their own medicine." He says calmly.
Auron Finally Auron turns again, to look at the two of them. First to Kaydin, "...The choice will be yours, when the time comes." A pause, and his gaze lowers, his remaining eye closing slightly. "...I hope it is as you say. That your city can be saved." No comment on the use of darkness as a weapon. He doesn't know enough about that to comment.

He then looks to Synestria and nods once. "...That was... a lesson I learned the hard way." The lesson of being true to one's own self, that is. A lesson he didn't survive. Which he's not about to admit to, mind....
Synestria Synestria smiles a bit to Auron. "I was a child that was given to a pair of humans who could not have children. Even as I grew, they wanted to make sure I did not use my powerssssss for evil, nor my sssssssstrength. Now they are missssssing. I will find them, whether they are alive or dead. If they are dead however.....whomever killed them will pay."
Kaydin "I hope you find them. My parents werent exactly the warm tender couple most people believe but I would still worry for them if they went missing." He says calmly as he looks to Baron then looks to Auron. "Anytime you need my sword, you just need to seek me out." Kaydin says calmly.
Auron Synestria's story draws Auron's attention, and he listens. "...Good luck," he offers to her simply. He knows it will be no small feat to find them, with the way so many worlds have been mashed together like they have. He looks to Kaydin at the offer from the Dark Knight, though. He doesn't comment for a moment. Then he offers an amused 'hnf' of a chuckle. "...Thank you."
Kaydin Kaydin would then nod and begin to head back to Baron. "I must tend to my duties. Be safe, all of you." He says calmly.
Synestria Synestria says, "I only hope he doesn't stay with Baron if they continue doing evil." Synestria says before starting to slither away. "By the way, Auron. I am Sssssynesssssstria."""
Auron Auron nods as Kaydin makes his farewell. "...Take care," he offers. He has a feeling the Dark Knight is going to need it. He will watch Kaydin's departure for a moment, until Synestria speaks up again. Then he turns to look towards her, and nods. "...There wasn't time for introductions then, I apologize," he recalls. "...Have you recovered?"
Synestria Synestria says, "It isssss not a problem, Auron. We found out each other'sssssss namessss in time." She then looks around a bit. "I would assssssk, however, that you keep my other form ssssecret, if you can. Like a Ssssseparate perssssson for a while."""
Auron Auron nods -- he can handle keeping secrets. He's been doing it for a while now -- keeping his own state secret. "...I will tell no one of it willingly. You have my word." Now, those four last words in that statement... they mean something important to Auron. He only says those words when he /means/ them. There's a note in his voice that might hint at it, too; a seriousness in his voice that makes it sound a bit more intense than his usual flat, dead tone.
Synestria Synestria nods quietly. "I shall alssssso keep your sssssecret assssss well." She says with a chuckle, before pointing at her tongue. "You are not human, or not anymore. I do not know what you are, but you ssssseem honorable enough to not assssssk."
Auron At the mention of his own secret, Auron frowns slightly. "...That would be appreciated." He doesn't confirm or deny his no-longer-human status. Nor to clarify what he is or is not. He's not venturing any information. If she wants to know, she'll have to ask him.
Synestria Synestria smiles to Auron. "I can keep my wordssssss asssss well." She says with a wink before she slithers back into the bushes yet again, hiding to fully recover from her battle.
