Two Summoners Talk Shop
(2013-05-12 - 2013-05-12)
The most literal version; a explanation of Seloria's deal with Souji sends Nik into a rage, even as it ends up in their own version of terrible...ness.
Seloria Delacreaux Let us look down on lovely Costa Del Sol. Everything is quiet. No one is panicking. Except if your name is Seloria Delacreaux, in which case, you should probably be panicking more than you already currently are at this time. Cut to: Seloria, standing in front of a series of half-made and already-finished outfits, most of them designed for someone like Alma, or more towards Seloria's size.

The menswear section is in a horrible, horrible state.

"Niiiiiik?" She sighs into her radio. "Nik, I really, really need yoooou." That's it, Seloria, flatter him up. A girl Needs Him.
Niklas Dragonius Costa Del Sol is a nice place. Costa Del Sol is a really nice place; Nik spends more time here than is probably otherwise healthy, soaking up sun when he's not out in the crazed wilderness hammering monsters to death with his bare hands. But that's part of the magic of Costa Del Sol; it's a tourist trap, an almost Gold Saucer-esque device designed entirely to ensnare and enrapture.

It works.

Well, parts of it work, anyway.

Nik was in the neighborhood anyway, so he sees no reason not to swing by. It didn't sound that urgent, so he wasn't really gonna run; he shows up about an hour or so later, hands in his pockets, whistling cheerfully as he arrives. He holds up his hand. "Hey. What's up?"
Seloria Delacreaux You're talking to the girl who hasn't left Costa Del Sol in months, Nik. /She/ spends the most time here... but then again, that does explain a lot of a variety of things. Nik is greeted by an open door, and Seloria standing there with a wicked look on her face as she holds up measuring tape.

"I need you to hold still for longer than ten minutes."
Niklas Dragonius Nik gets to go places. Nik doesn't let himself gets chained down - Nik tries *very hard* not to get chained down. He doesn't like to be in one place for very long; Nik spending a whole lot of time in one place is just strange to him.

Nik shrugs. "That's gonna take some effort on both our parts," he counters as he starts pulling off his coat.
Seloria Delacreaux Seloria doesn't like being tied down all that much either, but all things considered, this could be a /hell/ of a lot worse of a place to be tied down in. She blinks at him a bit.

"Effort?" She inquires. "Not on my end!"
Niklas Dragonius "If you say so," Nik replies, tossing his jacket onto an uncovered hook. Then he gets to work making his way out of his shirt as Seloria sits there.

"I'm just saying, this isn't exactly one-sided, y'know?" He shrugs a bit, tossing the shirt onto the same hook as his coat. "Anyway, what is it you keep tryin' to make that we keep interrupting?"
Seloria Delacreaux "A suit." Seloria says, cheerfully. "I'm going to ask Jidro or Souji to sit for the other one, because you're more of a classically muscular built than they are." She then arches an eyebrow as he says it's not one-sided. "Maybe so, but if I'm ever going to get this damned store off the ground, I'm going to need help. And you know..."

"To keep your undeniable womanizing ways down so I can at least get you /measured/. I only have to do it once!"
Niklas Dragonius "Ah, okay." Nik stretches his arms out for her nice and broad, trying not to shrug. To his credit, he's actually keeping pretty still for once, but then, to Nik's credit, he has perfect muscle control; sitting still is probably not that hard if he actually chooses to, and puts his mind somewhere else.

"Although I don't think a lotta guys around here have a build like mine. I haven't really been looking, but...y'know. Don't think a lot of people have my training regimen, either."

"Are you doing okay?"
Seloria Delacreaux "I don't think anyone other than you and your family has your training regimen." Seloria says, amused as she manages to dual-wield measuring tape, paper, and a pencil. More often than not, she's taking notes with the pencil being held between her teeth.

"Mine doesn't count, because I didn't have to undergo one." She finishes with the top end - shoulder width, bicep size, waist, hips, shoulders to ankles, shoulders to waist, and then neck size.

She kneels down, and starts measuring in the more delicate places.

"Besides, how many other ways can you get a girl between your legs in a totally appropriate way?" She jokes.
Niklas Dragonius "Probably not a lot of people who do, no," Nik replies, turning a bit to make it easier for her to get things done. Most people didn't raise their kids from birth to be kung fu superheroes, though.

Nik laughs. "A lot, probably, if I really tried, but it's not the appropriate way I'm really interested in, y'know? Although I can't really imagine you sitting here doing this for Cid...or Murasame. Cid'd just freak out; Murasame'd probably be so cold your hand'd freeze the minute you touched him."
Seloria Delacreaux "I'd have to ask Annia first before I would try to measure Cid." Seloria points out. "I mean, she's absolutely terrifying and you and I both know how she gets about him." She grimaces at the thought of Souji. "Luckily, if what they're wearing is, you know, tight enough, I don't require shirtlessness." She says, her green eyes twinkling in sheer mischief.

"Of course, it's only a problem if I'm measuring a guy- ladies tend to be much more comfortable about it, since I am female."
Niklas Dragonius "I imagine so, yeah. But still, you said you needed them for more traditional stuff; not that I think you're gonna find a lot of people with my build. Also, I haven't asked this around you terribly often, but should I put my clothes back on yet?"

Nik tilts his arms behind his head and stretches a bit. "Actually I don't think I ask that terribly often around *anybody*. I think 'should I put my clothes back on yet' might, in fact, be the thing I've said least often in the entire history of me being alive."

"...so how /is/ it going? You know...working for Murasame."
Seloria Delacreaux "Have you ever asked me that before?" Seloria asks, blinking. "Like, I'm pretty damn sure I've never heard that exact phrase come out of your mouth before - pardon my own language, but --" She shrugs. "If you want too. I'm done here. Thank Cosma, it only took me three weeks."

At his question she looks up at him, and shrugs. "S'okay."
Niklas Dragonius Nik shrugs again. "I'm pretty sure I've never asked that of *anyone* before."

He's silent for a long moment. Noticeably, he hasn't started putting his clothes on yet; he's just...quiet, a frown crossing his face. "S'okay, huh? So it's not helping or anything. You're not getting what you need out of him."
Seloria Delacreaux "Ah, good. I am glad to be a first, yet again, for you." Seloria says, dryly. She looks at the frown, and shakes her head. "It's not... like that, Nik. It's more that I have more of a build up to get what I need while he's getting the benefits now, because of this fitting and clothes making and stuff has to be done before I can get my part of the deal. Souji can't help me with /that/."
Niklas Dragonius "So you're doing all the work and he's going to make money off you, but you're still running yourself ragged trying to make ends meet while he does it?" Nik says something unkind and unrepeatable as he sits down on the bed. "Can't stand that guy."
Seloria Delacreaux "No." Seloria says. "We don't have the business arrangement you're thinking of." She says, firmly, giving him a warm, tired smile. "Our agreement is this - he supports the Unicorn Clothing store, my store, until I am doing enough sales I don't need his support. In exchange, he gets all of my research until that point. However, in order to open my store, I need to have..." She gestures.

"Clothes ready. Models around to show off my clothing. It'll primarily be a commissions shop, with some things available for all without needing to wait."
Niklas Dragonius "So he's paying for it, except for the part he's not paying for, which is all the stuff you need to get rolling - and in exchange for not paying you, he gets all your research until you get it open enough to keep it afloat."

Jackass. Nik clenches his fist tight, looking extremely annoyed; he's trying very hard not to say something, because that's not really fair to Seloria for him to start after he encouraged her to go work for Murasame. It wouldn't be fair. Regardless of how annoyed he is.

"Okay." Nik exhales and lays back on the bed. "I got you."
Seloria Delacreaux Seloria attempts to follow the conversation, before she raises her hand. Okay, NOW she's confused. "No, it's not like that, Nik, don't be upset..." She says, hopelessly. "You're the one that wanted me too, this way I had an easy end for the business arrangement, I just ..."

"Didn't think it through."

Nik collapses on the bed and Seloria kneels down to go through her fabric, muttering underneath her breath where he can't hear her.
Niklas Dragonius "I know I asked you to do it!" Nik practically shouts, standing up. "I know!"

"You think I don't remember that? I know I asked you to do it, and I know that whatever hapens to you - with this, with your research, with Murasame - is pretty much directly my fault! So if he hurts you, or robs you of everything you own, or whatever - I know it's my fault!"

"And when that happens - because Souji Murasame is a /grade A/ jackass/ - I'm gonna be guilty as hell, because it'll be my fault!"

Nik rubs his temples as he walks. "Sorry. I'm not mad at you. I'm...secon gods, I hate that guy so much."
Seloria Delacreaux Nik practically shouts, and by the time he's done apologizing, Seloria is half-under the table she's using for her sewing machine and other such and sundry items, her blue eyes wide. She never, /ever/ has been in a situation where she's had someone start yelling like that - mostly due to her nature of never being around people.

She looks at him, quietly for a few minutes. "S-sorry." She mumbles.
Niklas Dragonius "No...no, I'm the one who should be apologizing. I encouraged you into this; if you get hurt, I'm gonna be the one at fault, and that makes me feel pretty damn bad, okay? I'm not mad at you; I'm mad at myself. You're..."

Nik crouches under the table, reaches out, and ruffles her hair. "You're fine, okay? You made a mistake. I just...I'm worried that a mistake is gonna cost you bad. Really bad. In a way you can't deal with, or recover from. Maybe a little of it is just how I don't like Murasame, but..."

Nik mutters to himself, then pulls her out from under the table and sits her down on the bed. "Look...I just...don't want you to get hurt because of my bad decision."
Seloria Delacreaux It's hard to ruffle hair that is done out in pigtails, but Nik does get a couple of little tugs on them. Seloria frowns at him, before she's suddenly yoinked out from under the table. "Aiee!" She yelps, her hands scrabbling to grasp the fabric she needs. "Nik, c'mon, Nik, put me down!" She's finally plopped down on the bed with a frown.

"I'm not going to get hurt." She says, stubbornly. "It was more of my bad decision than yours!"
Niklas Dragonius "Yeah, well...it's a decision you wouldn't've made without me encouraging you to go work for him anyway. So I feel bad." Nik lays down on the bed next to her, his arm hooking under her shoulder. "You're my friend, you know? I don't like putting my friends in danger."

Friend is such a harsh word in some cases.
Seloria Delacreaux "Friends in danger..." Seloria rolls her eyes vaguely. 'Friends'. He's just missing the 'with benefits' other half of that explanation. She rests her head against his shoulder, curling up against him. "Nik..."

"You're bad for me."
Niklas Dragonius Nik shrugs. He's silent for a while; then he rolls over and hooks his arms around her neck.

"I guess so. I'm bad for a lot of people, I hear." He doesn't say anything about Murasame, /he can have a conversation without hating on Murasame/. "I'm a pretty bad guy, I guess."

"So do you seriously think you're gonna get a lot of call for a tuxedo in Men's Ultramuscled?"
Seloria Delacreaux "It may have entirely been a false reason to make sure you're always as nice looking as I am /and/ to see you shirtless." Seloria admits, completely, utterly straightfaced.
